Berfert Information24 Dec 2004 18:32 GMT12
Since Pam hadn't responded to any messages last night I figured she's
busy with Berfert and Rob and everything else she has on her plate
lately. So I called the last contact I had for a vet that they used.
Berfert was there when I called getting IV fluids.  I don't have any

It's only about 4 inches here in B-ton, but they are predicting that it will

headbonks24 Dec 2004 18:32 GMT4
Nathan is nursing an aching right eyebrow. Why? A certain one-eyed black
ladycat's standard form of greeting on a hoomin that is sitting down is to jump
on said hoomin and give the hoomin a substantial headbonk in the region of the
eyebrow. Yesterday Waffles felt in need of greeting ...
Log rolling cats24 Dec 2004 17:43 GMT1
Little Feet normally sleeps very close to my head at night. Last
night, however, I was tossing and turning, so he decided on another
place to sleep.
Plus, Dulce Mae (little 2-year old feral black cat) came in last

[OT] Help Needed24 Dec 2004 14:22 GMT7
I read here that someone had a problem with Microsoft XP and loading Service
Pack 2 - causing their whole computer to crash.  Well, my daughter is in
town with the kids this week and she brought her computer for DH to fix.
Not only did it hose her system, but it also hosed her CD ...
I can't believe how long I slept24 Dec 2004 12:22 GMT5
Eleven hours I slept last night, without even waking up to pee. That is some
kind of record.
Of course I did wake up long enough to tell Jill that I think if one of you
guys didn't get through to me, I can't imagine that there would be any
How to subdue a kitten24 Dec 2004 08:34 GMT4

OT: Twenty questions game24 Dec 2004 04:11 GMT32
Here's a bit of fun which was posted on another newsgroup. It's like the
old game '20 questions', except you try and outwit the website. Spookily
accurate!

That evil game bubbels.24 Dec 2004 02:35 GMT12
Since someone seems to be keeping a list of high scores, I will post
mine, that I got about an hour ago. 125,640. The only reason I didn't
go higher is that the screen filled with nothing but pink bubbles and
once I cleared them the game was over.
Do our cats know their names?24 Dec 2004 02:23 GMT36
This may have been discussed here, but cats make a bewildering
assortment of vocal sounds - meows, yowls, semi-barks, purrr-mrrrowws
etc. - and I wonder if in turn they can recognize the complex vocal
noises we make - let's say when we speak their names. When I say
Teenagers have a lot in common with cats24 Dec 2004 02:13 GMT3
Teenagers have a lot in common with cats
1.) Neither teenagers nor cats turn their heads when you call them by
name.
2.) No matter what you do for them, it is not enough. Indeed, al human
A word from my Postmaster24 Dec 2004 01:11 GMT28
Today I mailed my international cards. (The domestic cards will get
finished this weekend.) On the name list, some of the people in UK
just put UK at the bottom of the addie. Others put England. So I
copied them exactly as was. But my Postmaster had me put England on
