cat dancer variation31 Dec 2004 22:51 GMT2
After I realized today that I was tired and Oscar still wanted to play, I
figured out that I can hang the cat dancer toy by wedging it into the crease
of a folding closet door.
At first, Oscar acted completely uninterested, but she is now batting

I'm just halfway through reading the "America bashing" threads, y'all
can really argue a point! :)
Anyhow, all that talk about how much one loves one's country made me
remember a quote by a famous Spanish (as in, from Spain) author who said:

We bought one of the small Sony VAIO notebooks (S260) tonight.  I manage
the race car data and wanted something lighter and smaller to travel
with than my old VAIO (also needed something with CD-RW to download race
car video).  So I get everything out, actually read the "Getting
Orange cats31 Dec 2004 14:38 GMT8
I was struck this weekend by how much Harri and Sammy look like each
other! Their coloring is very similar, they both have bullseye markings
- they're both quite beautiful. I took some digital photos and put them
online.
Purr Request for Dad31 Dec 2004 10:53 GMT27
If it isn't one thing, it's another.  Dad was down in the barn this
afternoon watching the vet trim the sheeps' hooves.  He said to the vet
"I feel kind of dizzy" and the vet rushed over and eased him to the hay.
Dad passed out momentarily, and now doesn't remember that part.  ...

Purrs for victims of earthqauke/tsunami disaster31 Dec 2004 09:14 GMT32
what an unfathomable catastrophe it is, already close to 30.000 dead and
counting
I keep picturing the places I have visited in Phuket, Thailand, the sweet
little hotel in the national park on the east coast of Sri Lanka - just on
Abandoned Cat31 Dec 2004 07:55 GMT21
This is so weird. A friend of mine from the shelter was driving down a highway
about 50 miles away and saw a cat carrier sitting on the side of the road. She
thought, wow, that looks like a nice carrier and we could use it at the
shelter.
Introducing Helen31 Dec 2004 06:18 GMT35
I would to introduce Helen, my cat-mad friend, to the group.    She has
bought a computer and I have just downloaded newsgroups.   Naturally,
rec.pets.cats.... was the first in line to subscribe to.    Helen has a much
loved kitty called Minnie (a black and white girl).

Each of them got a very nice, plush floor mat, originally intended for
my new truck, that they sleep on.
Selena got a bottle of her favorite kitty vitamins and a small box just
her size.  She enjoys sitting in her box and watching the world go by.
Tap-tap-tap31 Dec 2004 05:30 GMT6
My computer is on a table downstairs.  It's my first stop when I come in
from work.  Every time I come down to the 'puter, Mistletoe jumps up on the
table beside me.  She has a nice soft bed (two large towels folded in
quarters and stacked) from which she observes.
(OT) Cursed Apartment31 Dec 2004 04:49 GMT25
Most of you probably remember my awful animal-abusing next-door
neighbors from whom I rescued Arthur and Morganna, and who were
ultimately evicted.
Well, the apartment is still empty.  The landlord had it repainted and
Email problem to Divamanque31 Dec 2004 04:47 GMT2
Sorry, I tried to reply, but I got an Earthlink opt-in to send mail. As
an Internet engineer, I won't register with that sort of blocker -- it
is a terrible technical technique that gives false security, and will
paralyze email if it becomes widespread.
Full disclosure on bathtub incident31 Dec 2004 04:38 GMT34
Here's the whole story of how and why the bathtub fell on Pat's head, for
those who are interested:
I had to remove the bathtub so I could insulate under it. There's a big hole
in the floor under the tub that was initially created to enable pipe repair
My Christmas Present :(31 Dec 2004 02:49 GMT7
DH gave me a lovely big plant for Xmas.   It is a type of succulent - I
can't remember the name but it begins with K.
A  heap of the plants are planted in a large bowl about a foot or more
across and the whole thing is ablaze with orange flowers, gorgeous.
