Mom!  [Somewhat OT]28 Nov 2004 22:24 GMT73
I just posted a rant in answer to Jill's rant about her family and wanted to
add an example.  Even after all my avowals, I still try to get my mom's
(never-forthcoming) approval.
So...
Purrs and Candles28 Nov 2004 19:21 GMT2
I haven't been able to reply to every post lately - like others here, RL
(especially at this time of year) tends to poke its ugly head into my life.
I just wanted to say I'm still sending purrs for those who need them and
lighting candles for the kitties who are traveling to the RB.
Beverley's Bubbel Blog28 Nov 2004 18:10 GMT11
I am seriously thinking of starting my own blog.  I have to find out how
to go about it but it would be a great way of venting all my bubbel
anger.  (can't expect the group to put up with that forever)  I could
also have as subjects, cat peeing festivals, i.e. in sink, on floors, on
Gobble Gobble28 Nov 2004 15:20 GMT27
Happy Thanksgiving Day to all of those who celebrate this calorie stuffed
day.  Thanks for our families, friends, cats, kittens, d*gs, goldfish,
chickens, birds of all sizes, colors and shapes.  Thanks for all that makes
our lives healthy and happy!
Softest cat parts28 Nov 2004 11:21 GMT32
I was wondering if people had any opinions on what part of their cat
is the softest?  To me, the cat parts that feel softest are the parts
where the fur is dense, flat, fine, and all facing in the same
direction.  On Betty, those parts are:
Sophie Cat versus Sophie Dog28 Nov 2004 11:20 GMT11
Many thousands of years ago when I was young (well, it feels like it anyway)
a friend of mine had a Siamese cat named Sophie. She and Sophie were living
in a house where there was a dog, also named Sophie. The two animals got
along pretty well, but Sophie Cat would occasionally ...
Cats play the darndest things28 Nov 2004 11:09 GMT8
I got this crazy little dice game called Cosmic Wimpout. I suppose it's
a little like craps in that only certain throws count for points, except
you use five dice that look like something off the cover of a Grateful
Dead album. And I like the name, it's weird.
Nanki-Poo and I could use some prayers28 Nov 2004 10:36 GMT47
This morning Nanki-Poo was following me around.  He never let me get one
full step ahead of him.  Today was wash day.  He followed me into the
garage when I went out to put in the clothes to wash.  I figured it
would be okay, since he was sticking so close.  However, he saw the back
Purr request (long)28 Nov 2004 09:07 GMT31
I missed a couple days and am trying to catch up (nearly impossible with
this group) but we've been purring for those in need.
So now I need to request purrs for my sister, Teri, and one of her cats,
Sam.
HRFL Tiger is appalled28 Nov 2004 04:31 GMT3
A certain feisty calico cat is currently residing in my study on the
sofa where Tiger usually sits to keep me company when I'm working. He
had the audacity to try and tell her to move.....
She slapped him upside the head, and in no uncertain terms, told him to
Chasing Paws28 Nov 2004 02:09 GMT8
Ok, I know kittens chase their tails.  Some cats even continue this
practice beyond kittenhood.  But Vino is deprived because he doesn't
have a tail.  But yesterday, at the ripe old age of 6 1/2, he figured
out an alternative.
introudcuing the newest members of our family28 Nov 2004 01:55 GMT25
we went back to the animal shelter today to visitthe furbabies and to
see if there was somebody who really wanted to come home with us. And
guess what? Scout and Silver mewed at us and stuck their heads out of
their cage when they saw us walk in the door! of course i'm sure they
Update: No Job28 Nov 2004 01:47 GMT24
I dunno, maybe the manager is a ditz.  Last Wednesday she asked if I could
work part time and then said she'd work on the schedule and get back to me.
I still hadn't heard from her so I called this morning.
Oh, the woman who was going to leave to do hair full time now wants to stay
Christmas List28 Nov 2004 01:45 GMT27
I just want to say that I have received the list.  I wish that I could
send cards to everyone, but I cannot  --  mainly due to health reasons.
This is the greatest group online  --  compassionate, caring,
intelligent, sometimes funny, often sad, responsive people who share the
Little suck-up!28 Nov 2004 01:21 GMT4
Last night I was hit with a craving for fish & chips.  (Unlike the popular
view of *most* Merkins, I don't live on fast food; I'm quite a good and able
cook and enjoy doing so.)  But I just had to have some, so out I went to a
fast food joint to pick up a couple of pieces of ...
