We'll need a larger cat flap05 Nov 2004 00:57 GMT15
If Billy's current size and rate of growth is an indication of how large he
will be when mature, then I will probably have to replace the cat door with
one designed for d*gs.
He's got the fluffiest tail I've ever seen on a cat. So does his sister -
Great big scratching post04 Nov 2004 23:47 GMT8
If you don't think cats can dominate a household, we've had a gap in
our living room ever since we moved a comfy chair into the dining room
because the cats wanted it in there (it takes too long to explain).
This week we noticed a beautiful restored chair in a local upholstery
caught the kittens04 Nov 2004 21:13 GMT15
The kittens are now in there new cage in my computer room. I have a trap set
to catch the mother. Thanks for all the purrs for success on traping them. I
haven't heard a sound out of them , they are so scared.

Opinions, please04 Nov 2004 20:31 GMT17
I've been reading RPCA for the last couple of weeks, and it feels so
nice in here!  I'll post a more formal introduction later, but if I
may, I'd really like to get your opinion on a cat-related dilemma.
My "other-species life partner", a Maine Coon mix named Rusty, died of
OT   I need help04 Nov 2004 20:04 GMT17
Many of you here have been following the story of my neice who was raped
and her mother, my sister.  The bottom line is that my sister has
reached a point where she is barely functioning - she makes it to work
and back, but beyond that she is in real trouble.
We Need Our Heads Examined04 Nov 2004 19:51 GMT25
Well, we went to PetSmart to pick up our special needs cat and came home
with...a D-thing.  The resident owners are not amused.  Neither is
Smokey, or whatever his name is, when Mandy let the D-thing into our
room.  She has named him Eshiky, and I've been calling him Ashtray.
Molly  Day Four04 Nov 2004 19:06 GMT6
This little calico girl takes everything in stride.  But she is going to
cost us a fortune in cat toys.  Hide a catnip mouse and she finds it and
guts it in twenty minutes.  She has found and trashed stuff that the cats
have been just playing with for years.  Heaven help us once ...

A Witch's cat04 Nov 2004 17:13 GMT11
Two years ago we took Nocturne out on her leash for a walk in the
park.  Now, Nocturne is one of the blackest cats you'll see, including
her lips, pads, ear-skin, nose--all jet-black.  Two little girls came
up to us and pointed at Nox, "That looks like a Witch's Cat!"
Tufty Ears--Maine Coon?04 Nov 2004 14:48 GMT7
A friend of mine (who happened to be from Maine) remarked on Kumani
and Tyche's ear-tufts.  She said they must have some Maine Coon in
them since they have these distintive bunches of hair on the tops of
their ears.
How to deal with Megan & other flamers 04 Nov 2004 14:08 GMT3
PLEASE everyone: the only way to keep uncivil etc. persons & their
bad language etc. out of this lovely NG is:
1) NEVER, ever, respond to their posts
2) Never, ever, EVER, quote a single word from their posts in your own
Purrs for Boone04 Nov 2004 13:11 GMT60
If you can spare a few purrs, prayers, or tail wags today for a dog that
loves cats, we would all appreciate it.  Our Lab, Boone, fell ill over
the weekend and got worse yesterday.  We thought at first it was a flare
up of his irritable bowel syndrome and put him on the meds we ...
the cage is ready04 Nov 2004 13:01 GMT3
We finished building the cage for the cats today. Yesterday a friend loaned
me a dog crate to catch the cats in. (I'm trying to catch the 3 kittens at
one time.) I have the door blocked open and have been putting their food in
it. They went right in to the crate for the food. ...
