| The power of purrs | 14 Nov 2004 08:04 GMT | 4 |
Sometimes it is AMAZING how effective group purrs can be! I asked a couple weeks ago for folks to purr that I'd find a way to get to the midwest to pick up Harri, since my dispatcher wasn't finding any ways to make it happen. I ended up there ok, and got Harri just fine.

| There is a d*g in our house!!! | 14 Nov 2004 00:01 GMT | 5 |
My in-laws are visiting this weekend and they brought their d-pet, Daisy, with them. Daisy is a Shih-Tzu that weighs about the same as our smallest cat. Our cats are not amused. They have all retreated to the safety provided

| Puffy Persia | 13 Nov 2004 23:18 GMT | 9 |
That neighbors cat was back on the patio again tonight. I'd dozed off on the couch and Persia apparently was gazing out the sliders in the bedroom. Suddenly I heard this YOWL and she came dashing into the room and ran to the window. She was totally puffed up; tail bristled, fur ...

I finally got around to putting some pics of Ping on Webshots. Some of you may have seen the first few, but the rest of them show how relaxed he is now http://community.webshots.com/album/215541203ZDDCqy --?

| OT: Dead racoon | 13 Nov 2004 19:54 GMT | 14 |
I should have known it wasn't normal. This morning I saw a racoon hanging out on our back deck, looked like he was napping. I figured he was just tired and dropped for a nap. I didn't see him when I left for work, so I assumed he'd gone home. When I got home a little while ago,

| Trip purrs | 13 Nov 2004 18:57 GMT | 13 |
I have to go on a two day trip for work and I am SO stressed. I have too much to do and I don't particularly want to go, or leave my kitties (although my friend will be looking after them.) It's also supposed to get icky weather wise, so I would appreciate some travel purrs. It's ...

| [OT] Slang Help Wanted | 13 Nov 2004 16:36 GMT | 10 |
What does "Gilroy" mean? I was reading an interview with actress Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun of "Farscape"), during which she commented about Aeryn's hair - "It was the most Gilroy that Aeryn looked, really, in season four."

| Nice going, Caligula | 13 Nov 2004 11:13 GMT | 16 |
It was about ten minutes after I put Stinky's evening meal down for him; I walked back into the kitchen, and Stinky was right by his near-empty dish, doing his usual hopeful, "aren't I adorable, feed me, mommy" meow, complete with cute little head-tilt.

| Harri's first truck ride | 12 Nov 2004 23:36 GMT | 13 |
After running non-stop for three weeks on a bunch of long runs, I was pretty tired out by the time Harri's humans managed to meet up with me. However, my schedule allowed me to do a 34-hour reset - I took a day and a half off. So Harri got to spend her first day and a half ...

| Athletic Odessa | 12 Nov 2004 22:31 GMT | 3 |
The Tsarina continues to amaze us. Yesterday she let me get close enough to pet her, and as I am an ignorant two-leg I thought I might pick her up. She has picked up some tricks from the Moscow Circus. Upon picking Odessa up she pushed off my chest, did a backflip in midair, then ...

| ZORRO recuperating | 12 Nov 2004 22:02 GMT | 3 |
Well, the "little guy" is back -- and his operation didn't manage to slow him down at all! Sandra took him in. She said he was so terrified that he couldn't even complain! There were dawgs at the clinic when he got there and that

| Winter Job - the girls are NOT amused | 12 Nov 2004 21:23 GMT | 7 |
As most of you probably remember, I'm in SW Oklahoma, retired Army, and do yards most of the year. However, here in SW Ok, there is next to no work of that type from Nov to March, so this year (and last) I've needed to take on a job for the winter to make ends meet.
