Purrs for a kitten rehoming18 Nov 2004 16:27 GMT97
Some good catfolks on another group have a kitten they're caring for,
but the established resident cats are seriously put out by the
arrangement. In order to restore peace to the feline household, they're
hoping to place said kitten in a new (and hopefully final OneTrueHome).
Jack Frost and The Car Kittens18 Nov 2004 15:28 GMT9
I was looking at the frost on the cars in my apartment building's parking
lot and it reminded me of something I saw one winter morning when I was
waiting in the drive-up line at McDonald's (gotta feed the coffee habit).
I suddenly became aware that the young woman ahead of me had a ...
OT Arrhgh! People Again!18 Nov 2004 14:56 GMT10
I was running errands this morning, and I passed a store with a
bright-eyed little dog guarding the doorway.  He was a mini Manchester
terrier, and a really charming little fellow, very friendly.  In a
couple of minutes, the little guy was humping my leg-- actually, more
Shamrock meets the babies18 Nov 2004 13:11 GMT17
I took off work today to finish up clearing the leaves (the city
has a leaf-sucker-upper-thingie and they come around and get them
from the curb). When I was finished, and since the kittens are
feeling so much better (hardly even sneezing now!) I let them come
Fisticuffs18 Nov 2004 11:41 GMT9
Every Sunday I go out for a few hours to have a meal with my family.   I
leave the back door open and the kitchen fire on so the two cats can come
and go as they please.
Kitty is beating up Boyfriend tonight.  She keeps running after him, and
I know I'm becoming a pest, but . . .18 Nov 2004 09:52 GMT15
Could I please have some more Nanki-Poo (California) purrs?
Last night, as I was doing my last-minute things before going to bed, I
saw Nanki-Poo go out the cat door.  The box hadn't been cleaned since
the last time he used it, so I figured that was why he went out.  When I
An awful fright18 Nov 2004 09:42 GMT11
A while ago I was here working on the computer when I heard a loud crash
outside and a cat screaming. The only ones out were Tommy and Billy, who get
along very well and never fight.
I went out with a flashlight and quickly found Tommy, but not Billy. Then I
Best litter?18 Nov 2004 03:37 GMT7
Is there any reason, other than it perhaps gets kicked around easier,
that sand (clean, of course) sand won't suffice?
Any particular benefits to more expensive litter? Tho I've had cheap
dusty litter.
Discovered - The Sink Culprit18 Nov 2004 03:32 GMT12
It happened right before our eyes yesterday.    Bonnie jumped onto the
bench, hopped into the sink and sat on the plug hole, argggggggh.   We
both began shouting and pounding the stainless steel sink top.   Her
ladyship  stopped in mid-pee and somersaulted in the air.   No, she
Follow-up - cat shortage in Jersey, UK18 Nov 2004 00:26 GMT8
Some of you may remember this was discussd here a little while back -
here is a follow-up to the story:
Press release from Cats Protection - 17 November 2004
Ten cats are on cloud nine as they jet off to find new homes in Jersey
How about some brainstorming?17 Nov 2004 23:01 GMT19
This group is wonderful for coming up with advice - often quite varied.
I could use some brainstorming now to solve two related problems.
At the moment, Nanki-Poo is somewhere outside, presumably hiding.  After
disappearing for close to 24 hours, he tried to get in the house, only
OT: gonna have my name in lights!17 Nov 2004 19:53 GMT19
Well, kinda sorta.  Some of you may know I love to cook.
I got this email from a writer from The Wall Street Journal wanting to
interview me about leftovers from Thanksgiving.  I thought yeah, right.  I
waited until after hours then checked the phone number she gave me.  I'll be
Kittens going to TED next Tuesday17 Nov 2004 19:53 GMT8
Billy and Lily will be neutered and spayed, respectively, on the 23rd at
8:30 a.m. Central USA Time. I will pick them up after 4:00 p.m. the same
day.
At the correct time in your location, if you are awake, please purr for a
good news for kittens17 Nov 2004 16:07 GMT8
The mother cat is going to be living  the rest of her life as a farm cat. A
farmer has agreed to take her in after she is fixed. The kittens are going
to a foster home Thursday. I was hoping the a foster home could be found for
them.
Thesis on Bubbles17 Nov 2004 03:11 GMT17
Bubble People
I call these people 'Bubblers'.   They are very intelligent people with
compulsive personalities.  Bubblers are also good-looking and people are
drawn to their scintillating conversation.  An odd quirk of a Bubbler is
