The Scary Tree30 Nov 2004 20:44 GMT8
Oh Gods it's that Scary Holiday again.  The one where Mom an' Dad put
up a TREE.  Don't they UNDERSTAND?  Trees come from OUTSIDE.  There's
no FOOD outside.  Just coyotes, an' dirt, an' WEATHER.  I HATE
weather.  There's wet weather an' cold weather an' really hot weather.
The Kitty Hate30 Nov 2004 20:40 GMT4
This morning I found....
...a RAZOR in my SHOE.
Explains the clicking noise I heard last night, eh?
It's a good thing I keep the safety sheath on razors, or the surprise
How old were your cats when you got them?30 Nov 2004 18:52 GMT47
Curious :)
Nocturne was adopted from the shelter at nine months.  For our first
cat, we wanted one young, likely to live long and healthy, but grown
out of the worst of the kittenish nonsense while we learned how to
What, if anything, are you doing to combat the comercialism of the season?  OT, but WTH30 Nov 2004 18:44 GMT37
Sherry's post about the commercialism of the holidays got me thinking.
Some years money is really tight and we don't have a choice but to keep
the season simple.  Other years we have plenty of money and the hard
thing is not to go overboard with giving.  Last year was a tight ...

Because on sunday, two days ago, I had the pleasure of spending the

That's right fellow catslaves.........Bridget and I got to take the

Gasp! My father has a kitten!30 Nov 2004 09:58 GMT23
My father has a kitten!
This is  shock because:
My father has a blind poodle who hates cats (Mozart).
My father has a Pekipoo (Angel).
Pearl's big day at TED30 Nov 2004 05:50 GMT11
Went for the annual check up. Actually, it's been about 1.5 years since she
was there. Ummmmm. Well, Pearl's gained a little weight. We weighed her and
my vet's eyes popped open and she looked at me and said, "Life is very VERY
good at Karen's house." Then I got a lecture. Pearl ...

We Met!30 Nov 2004 01:41 GMT7
It's late and I'm too tired to go into details, but I had *GREAT* fun
meeting two other rpca-ers.  Bridget and Bonbon (and Bonbon's DH) are
wonderfully nice people - I hope we can do it again soon and meet Victor and
Tom and Annie too!
Free kitten to good home30 Nov 2004 00:19 GMT3
I have an 12-13 week old male kitten. I got him for my fiance for
christmas but unfortunatley our daughter is allergic to this little
guy. We are giving him away to anyone with an open heart and an open
home. He is grey in color. He is very playful, in good health, and he
Ping Victor29 Nov 2004 23:46 GMT1
So how was the trip?  Did you and/or Tom take piccies???  Was it absolutely
gorgeous or did the horrid Houston weather make it to Big Ben National Park
too?
We missed you at the get-together last night - all expressed regrets that
O.T. -  "Sleep Number" bed owners?29 Nov 2004 23:27 GMT25
Does anyone here have one?  My present mattress is twenty
years old, so I must replace it with something.  The sleep
number bed seems ideal for my back problems, but they ARE
awfully expensive, so I want to be sure before I invest in
Nanki-Poo update29 Nov 2004 22:23 GMT12
My kids came over for Thanksgiving yesterday.  Nanki is still
sequestered in his room, but each of them went in to visit.  He was very
affectionate with my daughter, and he let my son-in-law pick him up and
carry him out of the room.  He soon indicated he wanted down, so he was

Here are a few pics of Nico, our new kitten.

Mostly of him snoozing in the living room chair, as he's too fast for me
to get a pic of him otherwise.
