I'd like to apologize to Cheryl for any (unintentional) hurt I may have
caused (I've already emailed her privately to apologize and ask her to come
back to the group).
I noticed that in some of the responses to Cheryl's note some others in the
Advice re stray (?) cat28 Oct 2004 03:07 GMT7
In the past few days, DP and I have noticed a black and white cat
hanging about our apartment complex.  On Friday, both of us saw a
group of kids playing with him.  When I saw him, two kids were
carrying him around the parking lot while other kids yelled at them to
More Progress28 Oct 2004 02:51 GMT5
Odessa has decided she can now trust the house not to let her go or
swallow her up, and has worked up the nerve to start exploring. And boy,
can she explore! Whoever posted that the one thing a black cat does best
is not be seen was so right! We'd try to get her up to eat and hunt

Rocky's condition28 Oct 2004 02:51 GMT6
Steve's post brought to mind something that happened to a cat belonging to
one of my colleagues at work a couple of years ago.  The symptoms sound
identical.  It was established that the cat had been knocked down by a car,
and dragged (his claws were damaged where he tried to ...

Honeysuckle?28 Oct 2004 00:29 GMT8
Anyone try honeysuckle-scented toys with their kitties?  I've heard
that some cats like it as much, or more, than nip.

Rocky Update 127 Oct 2004 22:14 GMT21
Actually, sort of a no-news report. It will be this afternoon before I
get any news. My TED is a one-TED clinic, so Rocky is having to be
fitted in around regular appointments. Actually, that makes me feel a
little better, since Dr Haney agreed with me that Rocky isn't in pain.

Packing a box27 Oct 2004 15:22 GMT7
We have such helpful kitties! I was trying to pack a box of stuff I'm
returning, and Maya, Luna, Fez and Rufous were determined to give me a
hand, er paw. They made sure the box was taped securely, that it had
plenty of space inside and that the stuff inside was arranged properly ...
Lets see if this works27 Oct 2004 14:05 GMT21
I've been wrestling with Yahoo photos on and off for most of the day, and
it's wanting to resist.  But, I did manage to finally load enough photos of
the gang for you all to meet them.  I've tried linking to the photos in my
sig file, so let's see if this works.
Smudge's neck got a cleaning27 Oct 2004 13:43 GMT15
It's always fun to watch the cats groom each other. Roxy and Smudge
used to do it a lot more before I took other cats into the house (one
stray, several fosters, and another adoption). Having all these other
cats in the house has disrupted their routine somewhat.
TED vs Hissing Bitty Horror27 Oct 2004 10:06 GMT1
Yesterday we had to take the bitties to the vet for their annual
checkup. Tyche, not having been since her spay last December, went
nicely into the box.
Kumani however was seriously ill this past spring with some sort of
