| Oops | 29 Oct 2004 18:43 GMT | 1 |
I just bought one of those little pots of grass advertised as a "digestive aid" and noticed it had catnip too. A little too late. I now have two raving lunatic cats who hopefully will not continue puking on

What any observant cat slave could have told the experts... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3956833.stm "Cats suffer stress, experts say Cats can suffer from stress-related illness like humans, a study by animal

| The Twelve days of Christmas | 29 Oct 2004 17:36 GMT | 1 |
http://www.flippyscatpage.com/twelvedays.html This, I posted a couple days ago. It had been forwarded to me, and I cheerfully and ignorantly passed it on. Not know it is copyright, and surprise!

| Berserk-o-Billy | 29 Oct 2004 17:35 GMT | 5 |
It rained most of the night here and the fog is thick this morning. Billy came in a while ago carrying a soaking wet, dead chipmunk, and for the last half-hour or so he's been tossing it around so violently that he has finally had to take a rest.

| Doomed cat ventures | 29 Oct 2004 16:53 GMT | 28 |
Many people seek new occupations and money-making schemes This set me on a bizarre train of thought: - cat-related ventures which are doomed to failure from the start by the very nature of the little darlings. I've thought of a few, and perhaps you can dream up others.

| He's home | 29 Oct 2004 15:53 GMT | 14 |
Frank is home but he seems sort of dazed. He's very hoarse, so I suspect he has been yowling a lot today. :o( He tries to complain to me, but can only manage a croak. I don't like taking him to the vet school hospital, and I'm going to try and avoid it in the future. The cats ...

| Something amusing for a change | 29 Oct 2004 13:55 GMT | 5 |
I was sitting at my kitchen table, proofreading a PhD thesis (can't work at my disk, because it's full of the old computer monitor and piles of books and papers ;). I didn't realise that Nikki was sitting by my feet until I moved one foot, nudged her and she squealed. I ...

| Another mouse bites the dust... | 29 Oct 2004 13:24 GMT | 1 |
After many days of hunting and seeking and waiting and hoping, my DH came home from work to find that Sweetie and Joe had finally lured the mouse out and caught it. Unfortunately, they don't know how to kill a mouse. Neither one of them.

| Thanks everyone, and a tribute to Rocky (Actually a repost of Rocky's looong Story from last month) | 29 Oct 2004 12:49 GMT | 5 |
Many thanks to all who were pulling for Rocky, sending purrs to all of us here. Some may consider swapping purrs a little strange, even silly, but when you need them they really do help the recipient. I know I collected those sent for Rocky, and they helped (may have

Remember how Mischief was rolling all over my swim towel? I just brought a whole bunch of them home and spread them out on the living room floor. Now BOTH Imp and Mischief are rolling on them, tails twitching with

| cat prefers laying on newspaper! | 29 Oct 2004 00:20 GMT | 12 |
I noticed that our only cat which was 'adopted' by us as a kitten(her mother was killed by a Raccoon) prefers to lay/sleep/eat on paper. He will go into a big room with lots of nice soft carpet or furniture, and if there is a newspaper laying on the rug or on the furniture, will ...

| Sewing project with 3 cats | 28 Oct 2004 22:51 GMT | 10 |
A friend is paying me to make some curtains for her. I'm being very slow and methodical about it, measuring everything at least twice to be sure it all fits. The curtains are lined and the pieces are pretty large, so I have to lay them out on the floor to make sure it's all flat and ...

| Min, RB | 28 Oct 2004 22:43 GMT | 38 |
Thank you, everybody, for your Chemo purrs. I am very sad to report that Min's tumour was just growing too fast, and there was no time for her even to be prepared for the treatment. She was helped to the Bridge a few hours ago. My father, Min's foster-Paw just called to

| YIKES!!!!! Not Your Ususal Monday Morning Before Work | 28 Oct 2004 22:38 GMT | 17 |
Monday morning, I walked out the front door, down the short walk way to the driveway to get my keys out of the ignition of the truck, and go back to lock the front door. I locked the door, went back to the truck, petting Big'Ead, who was on the walk way (Big'Ead is our
