I'm cross03 Oct 2004 18:14 GMT50
Livid even.
Yes, I know cats catch wild birds and that's why I didn't want any cats,
because I love birdwatching.
Boyfriend lost his posh tapestry collar the other day, the one he arrived
Spainy Cat needs purrs03 Oct 2004 17:23 GMT1
I know some of you are fans of the blogger Cherie Priest and her cat,
Spainy.
Spainy left a "deposit" of blood & mucus on Cherie's floor the other day,
and was taken quickly to the vet, who found nothing wrong. He thought that
Update Sammy's TED visit ;-((03 Oct 2004 09:52 GMT33
I almost didn't take her in, because she seems to me to be doing so
much better. But, I figured since the appointment had already been
made, we'd go ahead and go. The news wasn't exactly good.
When TED listened to her chest he said there was fluid on the chest,
My hair confused Vino03 Oct 2004 07:46 GMT13
This afternoon I was colouring my hair.  It's insane how much grey I
have at age 32 :-(  I had all the dye in and was sitting in a towel on
the couch, waiting until it was time to rinse.  Suddenly Vino came up
and sat in front of me on the arm of the couch.  He looked up at me
Awwww!03 Oct 2004 05:31 GMT5
Last evening, I was reading in bed, and Stinky had happily stuffed
himself into a nearby box-- don't ask, there's always a nearby box. ;)
I turned to look at him, and  caught his eye; immediately, he said
"Waow!", uncurled himself out of the box, stood up, stretched, came

Kitty litter cake03 Oct 2004 03:50 GMT1
I know the recipe, or *a* recipe, for this has been posted here more
than once.  However, this site not only has a more detailed recipe than
I've seen, for a more realistic effect, and a photo of the finished
product.  Now if I could just figure out somebody to serve it to!  ;-)
"Making Arrangements" for Cats03 Oct 2004 00:37 GMT36
I'm wondering at what the older members of this group (or any of you, for
that matter) may have done as far as making arragements for their cats to be
taken care of if they should pass away before their cats do.
This subject was brought up on another group and it got me wondering. ...

For those who don't read Slashdot ("News For Nerds - Stuff That

Boasting about my baby02 Oct 2004 21:52 GMT17
Now that Frank is on the mend, I can boast a little about what the vet
at the vet school said about him. She asked me, 'Is this cat really 17
years old?'
I said, 'I hope he will be in November.'
Humor - Sleepy Cats02 Oct 2004 18:15 GMT12
This is a cute page, probably better without the sound (just my
opinion) - the lady singing the song sounds brain damaged or very,
very tired.
The song is illustrated with lots of sleepy kitties, with word bubbles
Thanks for all the purrs for Sammy02 Oct 2004 18:12 GMT3
Thanks for all the purrs and suggestions. Sammy is back to normal
today. Glad I didn't skip the appointment yesterday, like I started to
when it seemed like she was almost well on her own. I imagine that's
why the murmur and fluid threw me for a loop. The suggesiton about
Back to Normal - whatever that is!02 Oct 2004 15:48 GMT4
Thanks to your good wishes, my "trip from hell" was more like
"Purgatory".  Survived five whole days!!
You didn't let me down, either - it's taken *days* off and on to catch
up with all the great posts!  I'm so happy for Fox and Sam(my) and
A nifty cat enclosur.....a greenhouse, its a greenhouse02 Oct 2004 15:10 GMT11
I tell you, it is a greenhouse! I'm planning to propagate some
hydrangeas, gardenias and azaleas this winter from cuttings and was
trying to find this little greenhouse thingy I had given my father a few
years ago. It is a frame similar to a bookcase made of pvc tubing with a
My cat scared me02 Oct 2004 14:09 GMT21
Yesterday my old cat Patches http://www.mary.cc/patches/ was sitting next to my
feet in my home office. I decided to let my midget skunk in the house to run
around. I'm training him to be an educational animal for my wildlife rescue
group. Here's a pic of him and Patches. He's grown ...
