Cat heartworm?05 Oct 2004 00:11 GMT1
I got a postcard from vet saying cats are at risk for heartworm - I
don't recall whether it was 20-30% of cats, or 20-30% as often as dgs,
or whatever. And of course, they sell the medecine... I balked at the
pitch they used to make for dental cleaning (next they'll fill

Strange defense behaviour!04 Oct 2004 17:24 GMT2
The other night, Cleo Carrington Smith reacted in a strange
way to something my partner Robert did.
As a back story, I have a "flying carpet" that I sit on to watch TV,
as I don't like sitting in chairs.  I am a "floor dweller" and
Missing cat in Nashville, Tennessee04 Oct 2004 16:26 GMT8
No, it isn't my cat that is missing.
My boss's next-door-neighbor's cat has been missing for about a week.
They have posters up on every telephone pole for several blocks
around.  The cat is a marmalade (orange-and-white) short-hair,
Can you help with url?04 Oct 2004 15:23 GMT3
The other day I visited people who have a really sweet tuxedo cat called
Selma.
I told them she looked just like the little tuxedo cat on Internet, the one
you tickle with the pointer and it purrs or bat at it or swish it's tail ...
Vet Tech journals 1204 Oct 2004 15:14 GMT14
Hey everyone,
I've been so busy with classes and work and trying to get the
newsletter it's been a little hectic.  I had to drop one of my classes
because it was getting so crazy.
MBTI - Game to Play (OT)04 Oct 2004 14:46 GMT35
One of the things the psychologist had us do when my team was going through
the Myers-Briggs training was really fun and helped illustrate the
differences between two sets of the "types", "FJ" and "TP".  He picked the
two most extreme examples of this type (of course I was the "TP") ...
purrs for a missing d*g04 Oct 2004 12:25 GMT33
Our d*g, Fox, disappeared yesterday and hasn't come home yet.  DH is
convinced that he's gone RB; I'm not yet ready to admit that.  DH is
utterly devastated - he has a special bond with Fox.  Whilst we wander
the streets and put up signs, please could you all apply the special

Many thanks to the Mass folks who wished me rain in Sydney, Australia.
It is *pouring* today and is likely to keep up the whole day and I'm
very happy.  Our down pipes are gurgling and our water tanks are
filling - I had a guilt-free shower this morning!
Leaving Cats04 Oct 2004 02:58 GMT40
We will be travelling for about two weeks in December and our three
cats will have to go to a boarding kennel. It almost brings me to tears
thinking about this because I know they will be so unhappy, but it's
the only option.

Good News04 Oct 2004 01:29 GMT15
I stopped at PetsMart after my dentist appointment this morning (routine

specializes in TNR (she has 27 acres that she uses for a ...
Lily bags a bird03 Oct 2004 23:57 GMT11
That's right, I took an "l" out of her name. It's "Lily" now, like the
flower, because she is as pretty as a flower.
She left a beautiful young bird laying on the ground right in front of the
door. I saw it - belly down, wings spread, head turned to one side - as I
