Possible move update (long and mostly OT)07 Oct 2004 06:46 GMT9
Yet, another update, this one is about the possible move out to the
country that I wrote about a while back. If it works out, I'd be
moving to a barn apartment, taking care of the landowner's yard and
providing a little security by living on the property, since she does
A cat legend07 Oct 2004 05:06 GMT54
Have you ever looked at a tabby cat's face and noticed the mark above
the eyes that looks like an M? There is a legend about this that some
call the Mark of Mohammed, and was probably brought into Europe by
merchants who traded with Arabs and the Arabic-speaking peoples of North
CALL 911!  Wait - it's just the cat07 Oct 2004 04:58 GMT2
The other night, as we lounged on the couch quietly watching TV, Sweetie
came tearing down the stairs at light speed, turned hard to avoid slamming
herself into the kitchen cabinets, did a Bugs Bunny claw burnout on the
tiles (why they weren't flying loose behind her and hitting the ...
*sighs*07 Oct 2004 03:41 GMT38
I'm ovulating this weekend.
We're going to have another child, someday. But it just... it's difficult. I
can't imagine life with a single living child. But I can't *not* feel like
this is just a kneejerk reaction, a "replacement" of sorts. Guilt,
Where is Baha?07 Oct 2004 02:49 GMT1
It seems ages since since we heard from Baha, I've missed her.
Are you okay, Baha? perhaps just too busy to post I hope. Brandy must be
doing something we'd like to hear about, surely?

Few more snippets07 Oct 2004 01:44 GMT33
Lula has a thing for jewelry.  I habitually wear a watch, a bracelet,
and my wedding ring, and she frequently seizes one of these with her
teeth and yanks hard, hard enough that she'll succeed in breaking the
bracelet one of these days.  I can't figure out, though, whether she

For Helen re: Francis06 Oct 2004 23:58 GMT1
Helen,
I don't know what Francis' kidney values were, but a very high
creatinine value is common when cats are first seen with chronic renal
failure. Usually, after treatment with IV fluids or sub-q fluids, the
Bad Fez!06 Oct 2004 18:49 GMT31
I was in Phoenix at a diversity conference this week, I just came back a
little while ago. This morning I called Tom and he told me there was a
problem with the fish tank. It seems one of the cats got into the space
underneath the tank and stepped on the button that cut off all
Cats and a 8 hour car ride06 Oct 2004 17:56 GMT9
ANy advice, or checklist for drivng with my cat 8 hours? Should I ask
my vet for tranquilizers?
I have the cat carrier, will bring lots of bottled water , and some
treats, but not much since I don't want her making too much of a
Tough Call06 Oct 2004 13:39 GMT8
I was using the Treadmill tonight, which just happens to be in the poop room
(no terdmill jokes), when Smoke decided she had to use the facilities. She's
not crazy about doing her business when someone is on the "silly machine",
but she's very good about doing her business. So I ...
Job purrs update06 Oct 2004 12:40 GMT21
Nancy has been asked to come in to interview for one of the jobs open to
here. I believe the job would suit her quite well, though it still
doesn't pay as much as she'd like to make. But I *do* believe that she's
the best candidate for the job.
Bye Bye Miss American Pie... and Aussies and NZ's and Brits and Everyone!06 Oct 2004 10:14 GMT3
"I'm leavin' on a jet plane..."
Early tomorrow morning I wing my way off to meet my long lost love again.
This time for a 2 week working trip and sometimes hiatus.  Poor Persia is
esconsed at her boarder along with the feathered one, Peaches.  Persia
Invisible cat06 Oct 2004 07:13 GMT17
The weather isn't nice today, it's been raining almost all day but Boyfriend
decided he'd like to go in and out, anyway.
I just let him in, hopefully for the night,  shut the door behind him, he
examined his food dishes, neither dry not wet suited and he went into the
