howdy, all. I'm Jeff, proud property of three cats. I've lurked here for some time and have really enjoyed reading about and looking at your kitty owners, and I gather you'd all be up for a little of the same from me. I'm not too chatty, but I imagine I'll speak up in here

| Bob Holmberg | 30 Oct 2004 19:40 GMT | 7 |
No Brian or Kathy or...I'm pretty sure it was Holmberg. I played here a few years back. Got to know Bob. He helped me several times. He was IBM retired in Dallas. I needed WinFax, he emailed it, last part was bad, so he sent the disks. I still have them.

I like doing online jigsaws at http://www.jigzone.com Puzzle of the Day for October 30, 'HallowCat'; not the stereotypical 'witch's cat'!

| T or F -- Witchcraft illegal in England till 1951? | 30 Oct 2004 15:22 GMT | 1 |
Yes, witchcraft has been a topic here before, but I just heard a new slant on the theme and since the date seems appropriate... A poster in the newsgroup rec.pets.cats.anecdotes mentioned an AP article covering a story about one of Scotland's baronial courts

| Shmogg Pic | 30 Oct 2004 14:49 GMT | 33 |
The best pic of Shmogg I've ever taken: http://www.angelfire.com/mt/yowie/images/Shmoggleberry.jpg Be warned, its big (~350kb). I'm quite amazed that at 15 (or thereabouts) he's as handsome as ever. If

| A thank you note | 30 Oct 2004 13:52 GMT | 4 |
Thank you all for being so patient and supportive while I was worried sick about Frank. Of course, as it turns out, there was nothing to worry about, really. Frank is still acting strange. I think it's because he has something

| Rocky needs purrs | 30 Oct 2004 06:49 GMT | 30 |
Rocky usually comes in about 9. About once a week, when the weather is nice, he stays out all night. So, I wasn't really worried when Rocky didn't show up this evening. When the late news came on they forecast rain overnight and tomorrow, so I looked out and sure enough the

| Bad Neighbors & Morganna Update | 30 Oct 2004 05:21 GMT | 139 |
Last week, the one horrible neighbor was finally evicted. You would think that would be the end of it, wouldn't you? But no, he had not made plans (in spite of plenty of warning) for his "stuff", so he and his buds hung around most of the time for several days, until it

| A Rant: Pets running loose | 30 Oct 2004 04:45 GMT | 5 |
I'm sorry, but I have to chime in here. I've read helen s' post about the poor wet dog who is 100 miles from home (according to the tag, although who knows if the owners kept the tag up to date). People. Please. Keep your pets inside. Or at least in an enclosed area

| Opinions please | 29 Oct 2004 19:57 GMT | 19 |
I know I have to make the decision myself, but I'd like to collect some opinions before I do so. Here's the situation. Since Skeeter went to the Rainbow Bridge, Lindy has been an "only cat". She seems to like that, which isn't too

| Pestiferous Chessie | 29 Oct 2004 19:07 GMT | 9 |
Pestiferous as in particularly bothersome, teasing, persistent, demanding, inconvenient, etc - Chessie is absolutely determined to sit on me (any spot!) when I'm at the computer. Obedient slave that I am, it works 99 times out of 100 and on the rare occasions when persistence fails ...
