I've mentioned that Buster is staying inside more often.
Buster is also a very clingy cat. Very insecure, and likes to be in
close contact with a person. For a long time that person was me.
Buster would join me at the computer and sit in my lap (actually, he

So it's been a while, but I finally came up with something .
If this is posted twice, please reply to only one so the story stays

This entry will have you laughing hard, so you've been warned.
We're going through our normal routine, taking care of animals and
preparing for two kitties to have dentals when one of the
receptionists comes in.  A concerned client was on the phone and was
[OT] Writing Gothic Horror11 Oct 2004 07:46 GMT14
Cleaning out the ancient archives on my work PC, I discovered the first few
paragraphs of my yet-to-be-published Gothic Horror novel, which I started
back in 1995, long before I started writing cat anecdotes. And trust me, the
cat anecdotes (despite their abscence at the moment) are ...

this summers feral - doin' OK11 Oct 2004 04:18 GMT1
Every season there's a dropoff on Old Mine Rd;  last summer brought a
pretty black male who the Humane Society relocated.  That's one of the
good stories and today is another, altho actually this cat was in town

Arrrrrrrggh, the daily grind.  I hate to say it, but ever since school
started back up again, there haven't been that many animals.  In one
sense that's good, you don't have a ton of dogs to walk.  On the other
hand it gets quite boring after a while.
too inactive?11 Oct 2004 02:18 GMT7
I'm a bit concerned because Nocturne is not a very active cat.  She
spends the days curled on the bed--not moving for 9 hours or more--the
evenings with us, the nights asleep at our feet.
She will not play with us.  If we dangle toys in front of her she has
Anyone ordered from PetGuys.com?10 Oct 2004 18:39 GMT4
I was browsing for a new source for some of the pet supplies I order online
and PetGuys.com looked pretty good -- anyone have any experience using them?

Update (2) on Sammy Blahs10 Oct 2004 12:16 GMT7
Sammy IS getting better, not wishful thinking on my part. About a half
hour ago she was sitting on the drafting table by the bed, so I
decided to weigh her again to make sure she hadn't lost any weight -
nope still weighs in around 11 lbs, in fact gained 0.1lb since Monday.
Chair Scratching10 Oct 2004 03:05 GMT20
Hello. Wee Tashie's dad here. She's pretty good as far as scratching goes.
She uses her post and a stack of newspapers out the back, but there's one
thing we have trouble with.
She likes to lie across my lap when I'm at the desk (like right now).
Rocky's new collar10 Oct 2004 02:45 GMT5
Background:
The squirrels around here are no dummies. They know they have plenty
of time to get away if a cat spots them on the other side of the chain
link fence. It's common here to see two tuxedo kitties, and one mostly

Oh, do get your cats a collar with a bell on,( joke) like I did a few days
ago, to stop Boyfriend catching things.
It doesn't work.
Something small and brown suddenly shot across the kitchen floor (door open)
