Purrs for Bridget12 Oct 2004 22:19 GMT66
Bridget (metektor) is having a difficult time right now. The tragic death of
Eve really got to her, and other stuff in her life (which she may well
divulge later) has really knocked her around emotionally.
If there's any purrs left in the big barrel o' purrs this group keeps (its
Another adoption in the works12 Oct 2004 22:16 GMT4
We were so close to getting a fourth kitty this past week. We have a
no-kill shelter called the Ten Lives Club, who receives our United Way
donations through work and our tithes; they're the place who gave us our
Roxie. We were going to take a cat named Sadie--a male, so how he got
Sigh... yet one more new appliance12 Oct 2004 21:52 GMT55
So.... our dishwasher died. Kinda. It sprung a leak. Cheaper to get a
new one, so we did. Got a great deal through employee discount on a GE
discontinued model, about 40% off!!! We were able to get a fancy model
for the price of a cheapo one. Bad news, delivery folks won't ...
OT: Purrs for neighbor12 Oct 2004 18:29 GMT27
This morning EMS came to the house next door, where a lovely elderly
woman lives. Mary Ann is 94 years old and lives alone because she wants
to. She is truly an amazing woman. She takes a little walk every morning
and volunteers at a local hospital every week. She goes shopping ...
Ping: Baha - rainstorms12 Oct 2004 18:29 GMT7
Hi Baha!
Did you get much of the rain that has come through  upstate/central NY in
the last 2/3 days? We had between  5 and 7 inches near Syracuse in the pst
48 hours. My cats aren't normally afraid of storms, but the lightening
Need Opinions [OT]12 Oct 2004 18:29 GMT24
My company is merging with another company and I'm doing the web site for
the "new" company.  I've never done a web site for this type of company
before (we sell, lease, repair, transport, and rent storage space for
shipping containers - the kinds you see on ships and the "bed" ...

A word of advice...12 Oct 2004 09:41 GMT50
If you can help it, never, never, never sit out the dregs of a
hurricane in the company of a cat in heat.
We are supposed to call TED this week to make an appointment for
Tallulah's spay and Hubert's shots.  (Today is a holiday in the US,

Uncle & aunt again12 Oct 2004 03:06 GMT11
They are going home tomorrow <sigh>
They came to help me after my eye op, because I wasn't allowed to bend,
lift, or stretch for two weeks.  I have 50 odd pure breed poultry in 18 huts
and a pair of geese.  Plus the two cats.
!!!!!BRANDY'S COMING HOME!!!!!12 Oct 2004 01:43 GMT29
We just got the call from the foster-mama Marilyn and she asked us if we
could take our Brandy tomorrow instead of just before Labor Day. Seems
that one of her own cats has been making trouble for the baby, trying to
jump her and such, that they want her in a quieter place where she ...
Sammy Stories Posted11 Oct 2004 21:25 GMT6
I had a few people request all the "Sammy" stories I posted here so I
created a web page that contains all of them (along with a picture of Sammy
"stalking her prey").

Cat Novice asks . . .11 Oct 2004 18:51 GMT15
A friend of mine, a comparative cat novice, is caring for two kitties
in their slaves' absence.  He called and asked me, "What is this
head-bumping thing they do?   They have food and water in their bowls,
and I cleaned their box.  So what do they want?"

Buster has been staying in, a lot more often. As a result, he and
Little Feet have been teaming up a bit.
If Buster finds a sunny spot, Little Feet gets one too. If Little Feet
curls up on the bed, so does Buster. If Little Feet sits on the
