Brandy has horrible manners!18 Oct 2004 16:45 GMT4
We took Brandy for a checkup and booster shot today. She's in fine
health, has put on a bit more weight and was nice and feisty for the
poor tech, who had to call in reinforcements to hold her down while
getting her feleuk shot.
Head Scratch18 Oct 2004 16:39 GMT11
Here's how I get an invigorating scalp scratch*:
1. Grab a willing cat. Probably best to use a cat with clipped claws until
you get the hang of it.
2. Lay the cat on its back in your lap with its head away from you.
Bizarre behavior--cat pets humans?18 Oct 2004 16:29 GMT12
Kumani has an odd habit of resting her paw atop our heads.  She likes
to sleep on our pillows and when she does so, stretches out a forepaw
and places it on our cheek or forehead.  If we move, she very
deliberately replaces the paw.  If we are sitting, she will put her

What a nice way to wake up!18 Oct 2004 03:32 GMT16
Some of you may remember my story of the little kitten who didn't
play.  That was my sweet little Persian, Roxy.  She had been "owned"
by a couple who just had to have everything too too perfect and got a
Persian because they wanted a 'purebred' to match their decor.  At
Daughter's barn kittens update18 Oct 2004 03:16 GMT2
Remember my daughter's rescue of barn kittens last June?  Last night she
sent me an update.  Here's what she wrote:
"Here are a few pictures of what two of the kittens look like now.  They are
growing up fast and apparently getting into everything.  These two live
Adoption update: we didn't get Lucky...18 Oct 2004 01:23 GMT36
Lucky got adopted a half-hour after we got the phone call about him. Go
figure!
We went to Pet Supplies Plus, where Ten Lives shows their cats. They had
only one there, a black velvet beauty named Odessa. A Black Russian,
Mithu is a patient big brother17 Oct 2004 22:43 GMT11
We got a cute series of pics of Catherine and "big" brother Mithu. He
tolerated some pats, some ear pokes, and being used as a pillow.  Catherine
was overjoyed with the whole experience.

Planning ahead17 Oct 2004 14:11 GMT2
I'm planning a trip to Australia next year, probably the first three
weeks in April.  I expect to visit Sydney, Brisbane, Alice Springs,
Uluru, Perth and Adelaide, in that order.  If there are any posters here
who live in or near one of those places, maybe we could get together to
Natasha Visits TED17 Oct 2004 09:57 GMT6
Today was Natasha's quarterly visit to see TED. Natasha visits TED
every 3 months because she's borderline CRF, which the doctor wants to
keep a close eye on due to her age (17).
When time came to go to see TED, Natasha was sleeping. This is a good
Mattie goes out17 Oct 2004 09:35 GMT6
I've had my newest owner for about a month now and I decided that it was
time to start training her for life as a service animal.  Boy is she
good.  She's had a harness on her before, but this time I added a leash.
Her initial reaction was to lay on her side and play with the ...
I guess SOMETHING smells good......,17 Oct 2004 03:54 GMT12
I've been getting into springboard diving at school.  I have three
towels I use, and normally I just hang them up in the locker; and I
finally brought them home to wash.  They're not THAT icky, but it was
time.
Victor's Photos Question17 Oct 2004 03:12 GMT6
Victor, I've been meaning to ask (going out to look at the pictures Annie
posted reminded me again)... were the pictures you posted on "RPCA Pictures"
professionally done (I noticed one said "Photo by Tom..." - is that your
Tom, is he the photographer?)?  If they were not done by a ...
