Grandkitten Pictures!04 Sep 2004 18:43 GMT22
I'm kittensitting for my son and his wife this weekend.  They're going to
Corpus Christi, Annie - I wish I could have gone with them and met you.
Of course, the first thing I did was whip out my camera.  She's such a good
little thing, the first thing she did was use the litterbox!
Harvey isn't in danger04 Sep 2004 18:13 GMT10
The storm isn't expected to do any real damage to my neck of the woods.
(I post this because Havery's other owner reads this group)
Also, Harvey eats dog food and doesn't like his gooshy food anymore. Should I
be concerned?
Going away again, purrs going out04 Sep 2004 15:48 GMT6
We are going to be gone for a couple of days celebrating our 20th
wedding anniversary.  I just wanted to send purrs to those in need and
hugs and positive thoughts to everyone. I hate being gone for any period
of time and missing your posts.  Not to mention trying to catch up ...
How to give a raccoon a heart attack04 Sep 2004 15:08 GMT8
Very carefully look through the blinds.
Slooooowly unlock both deadbolts
Slooooowly turn the doorknob.
Slooooowly open the door.
A Skunk for the Cats04 Sep 2004 11:00 GMT5
I bought a skunk hat in Alaska as a present for the cats.  It is in
skunk colours and when you press a button on the side it begins to
scream and chatter and jerk its tail in the most alarming manner.  It
also wriggles.  The only thing missing is the smell!    As the noise and
there is good in the world: Go read Rusty's story03 Sep 2004 23:08 GMT5
In rec.pets.cats.health+behav there is a tribute like nothing I have ever
read. Don't feel bad, because Rusty had a long life and his time with the
ultimate human slave is a testament to both Rusty and his hoomin. It's truly
inspirational.
Otis EMERGENCY03 Sep 2004 21:44 GMT47
I'm writing via google in an Internet cafe in Killarney, Ireland.
Darn it will take a long time for this post to post!
I just got a call from my father about Otis.  He has escaped from the
cat boarding place where I had taken him.  He's been sighted multiple
WHO GOES THERE!?03 Sep 2004 17:42 GMT1
I had to laugh so hard.  Yesterday I came in the back door unexpectedly and
Sammy came flying in from the sitting room, slid across the floor, assumed
the "Halloween Cat" position with her back arched, all four feet together in
a point underneath her, her hair all fluffed out, ...
Sorta OT: Vent, long03 Sep 2004 16:56 GMT1
I just read this story (below) that Stephens College is now allowing pets in
the dorms. Part of the restriction is that the pet must be in a crate any time
the student is out of the dorm.
I think this is a *horrible* idea. And I daresay every college student isn't a
Just so you know03 Sep 2004 16:04 GMT4
If you'll pardon me, I'm not going to follow-up to every one of the
stories from the first person view of a cat.  I enjoyed every single
one of them, and I'm grateful to those who had the time to contribute.
This was a great idea.  Unfortunately, I forget who came up with it
My sweet baby girl!!!03 Sep 2004 15:33 GMT4
I don't have to tell you all - cats DO know what you are feeling and they
CAN purposely love and comfort you.
My Bandit just came into my office, jumped on my lap, put her front legs on
either side of my neck, gave me a "nose kiss" and started purring against my
Tigger's Story03 Sep 2004 14:25 GMT7
Tigger here.  Shhhhhh, don't tell meowmie that I'm playing with her
'puter.
My meowmie found me and Tiger early one morning in the carport.  We
was scared when this big yellow thing came out the door, and Tigger
An apology03 Sep 2004 12:49 GMT3
I realize that even the earlier subject line is upsetting for some
people, so here is a re-post of an apology for my earlier item here.
You may not want to even click on it, so if you wish, you can read it
here.
Hurricane Frances03 Sep 2004 10:27 GMT16
It's been on the UK weather news tonight that Hurricane Frances is due to
slam  into Florida on Saturday.
So here are my purrs and prayers that any of my new rpca friends who might
be at risk, will be safe.
How I found my hoomins03 Sep 2004 04:16 GMT3
Hey everyone,
Haven't a chance to really brainstorm a story.  I just started school
on Monday.  I"m now taking all the advanced RVT courses and already I
have a lot of reading and reviewing to do.  Also I'm the new editor of
