A World Of Cats08 Sep 2004 00:37 GMT7
A little late for the collection of stories, but my muse took the day
off on September first.  She came back  in a really dark mood when she
showed up again.  O J

Purring07 Sep 2004 23:15 GMT5
My 15 year old orange tabby, Jeremy, loves to purr. <G> When he gets a purr
session going on, sometimes he sways back and forth a good 1/2 inch. We call
it "rock purring", as it looks like he is rocking in a rocking chair.  Does
anyone else have a cat that does this?

Job purrs?07 Sep 2004 19:33 GMT15
DH still hasn't found anything, so he still really needs purrs.
I, OTOH, have two possibilities I like. I'm currently temping at a
company I really like, replacing a girl who quit very suddenly.
Someone else who does basically the same stuff I'm doing says she
Met my kitties-in-law07 Sep 2004 19:33 GMT2
I went over to my sister-in-law's house today, to help her with her
computer.
Gayle had a cat escape and not return about a year or two ago, and had
her remaining cat pass away a month or so ago. Smoky and Dusty were
"Where'd he go?"07 Sep 2004 19:14 GMT9
I have a big oak tree in my front yard that is dropping acorns
already, by the dozens. So of course there are squirrels busily
getting ready for winter. Bonnie and Shamrock are on their window
perches and I swear it is like watching people watch a tennis match.
Stosh takes a ride07 Sep 2004 14:29 GMT7
Stosh is my little shadow and likes to follow me everywhere; especially
to the basement when it's laundry time. there is a big box down there, a
leftover from the water heater we installed last winter, and he likes to
do his manicure there while I do my wash.
Booty's Got A Fat Leg07 Sep 2004 14:10 GMT17
Poor Bootygirl has a swollen front leg and is limping. I can't find any marks
onit but she won't let me touch it much either. Two possibilities, she either
landed badly and sprained it, or she got stung.
DH was messing with the beehives today so I strongly suspect it's a bee sting.
What's that cat doing?07 Sep 2004 11:09 GMT4
From today's NY Times "Metropolitan Diary":
Dear Diary:
My brother-in-law, Irving, had long been a pharmacist in the Bronx,
not far from where he had lived all his life. Soon after his divorce,
Purrs & meatloaf meditations to everyone who needs them.07 Sep 2004 08:39 GMT9
Hi group,
Sorry I have not been around much lately. I've been so busy, and also with
Tiffy, Romeo, and Juliet getting sick. They are all better now, but it was
very worrying.
Recipes: Cat variety07 Sep 2004 05:47 GMT29
Does anyone have any simple, tasty recipes for a corpulent kitty?
Cali's been through another bout of bunguppedness. So I'd like to break her
of her preference for dry food. She does not get enough water and is getting
porkier by the day. The vet pushes the A/D, but she hates it. ...

Tales of The Mouser:  SPC Huey's Promotion07 Sep 2004 03:43 GMT3
Sammy and Tabitha sat among the cats watching Specialist Huey receiving
his promotion to Sergeant.  The orange and white cat stood proudly at
attention while Captain Pine Cone read the promotion orders and then
gave a few remarks (Tabitha wondered why a few remarks always took ...
storing a live fur coat07 Sep 2004 02:02 GMT1
My husband has started refinishing the door on our living room closet.
Yesterday Max took advantage of the open door and went exploring in the
closet.  He was in there a long time, so my husband decided to check on him.
Good thing!  Max had managed to get inside one of the vinyl ...
