Sammy Update10 Sep 2004 00:38 GMT8
Sammy is finally about recovered from her spay surgery (yes, it took this
long - I will *never* go back to that vet again!).  The swelling has gone
down and she no longer has a scab over the wound, just a small hard knot at
the site of the surgery which feels like it's just scar ...
Vet Tech journals 709 Sep 2004 23:33 GMT32
These next two journals cover the last two days at work.  They can be
grouped into two categories, happy and sad.
This is the sad one, so if you are feeling depressed or are in a bad
mood, SAVE THIS FOR LATER!!!!
Channeling Carroll O'Connor09 Sep 2004 22:23 GMT4
Or maybe I should say Archie Bunker...
For those outside the US or Canada unfamiliar with classic American TV,
Archie Bunker is a sort of iconic character from a show called "All In
The Family" (based on the UK's "Til Death Do Us Part") which in this

Babanina progress09 Sep 2004 10:53 GMT24
Just thought you'd like to know that Babanina, the tiny kitten my friend
has been hand-rearing, is now doing very well. Her eyes opened a few
days ago and she is learning what her legs are for. She is also teething
and is chewing on anything and everything around her, including her ...
Oh, I Can't Stand It!!09 Sep 2004 06:37 GMT36
Was just reading another cats group and there was a message there about
another sick, sick case of cat torture.  I won't even post the URL or
details here, I wouldn't inflict that on you.  I was at my desk and had to
go to the ladies room to throw up and now I'm crying.  It's ...
Quit moving the sun09 Sep 2004 04:47 GMT8
Snoopy was lying in a patch of sun this morning, as time went on she had
to move to stay  in the patch. The third time she had to move she gave
me a look which obviously meant, "Stop moving the sun". She would have
more annoyed if she knew how much I was laughing inside. :-)

Carry Me Daddy!08 Sep 2004 15:02 GMT5
I was just treated to an exhibition of speed and jumping ability by my
Russian Blue, Smokey.  This is a large cat with a *fourteen* inch
tail.  When he gets his attack of the kitty crazies, nothing and no
one will slow him down.  He will take off from four or five feet away
A holiday postcard from Min08 Sep 2004 09:51 GMT10
Min, you will recall, is living with my father and stepmother while I
am travelling the world. She's just returned from their summer
holidays in Cornwall (S.W. England) and she was kind enough to send me
a postcard:
Skeeter has been taking lessons08 Sep 2004 09:10 GMT12
Forwarded from Joy (Yoj):
I think Skeeter has been taking b*stard cat lessons from Schmogg!  Since she
was diagnosed with renal failure, I've paid a lot more attention to where
she is all the time.  My cats are indoor-outdoor, and generally stay in my
Sort of OT but does mention the cat!08 Sep 2004 02:44 GMT4
Baby Bear goes downstairs and sits in his small chair at the table, he
looks into his small bowl.  It is empty.  "Who's been  eating my
porridge?!!" he squeaks.
Papa Bear arrives at the table and sits in his big chair.  He looks into
Oits - mini update08 Sep 2004 01:03 GMT14
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and wishes and purrs.  You
guys are amazing.  I would like to gather you all together, make you a
nice meal, pour some wine (if appropriate), and thank you for your
great big hearts.
Happy ending08 Sep 2004 00:38 GMT30
After phoning the local vets & police to report a "found" siamese in my garden,
there is a happy ending. Chairman Maow, as I called him, is actually called
Chan, or "Charlie" as a pet name. He bleongs to someone from the far side of
the village and to get to my place, Chairman Maow ...
