Q: stripe on nose?10 Sep 2004 22:44 GMT22
This is a strange thing I've observed on Frank now and then. As most of you
probably know, Frank has a pink nose. Every now and then, a stripe along the
top of the pink appears. It's a brownish stripe. Sometimes it's only a
pin-stripe, barely perceptible to a worried Meowmie's eyes, ...
How may I help you?10 Sep 2004 22:03 GMT17
I went to the pet store yesterday to get some cat food. I took a load of
tins and pouches to the counter to pay, and the girl started scanning
the prices. She had a big black d*g with her behind the counter, and as
I stood there waiting, he suddenly reared up on his hind legs, ...
Slightly OT - Another Movie with a cat10 Sep 2004 18:56 GMT4
The Ladykillers, starring Tom Hanks (who for once does NOT play a
goody-two-shoes character).  Cat in the movie is owned by an elderly woman,
a widow whom nobody really takes seriously.  Cat's name is Mr. Pickles, and
though he's not instrumental to the plot, he does provide some ...
Anniversary Trip10 Sep 2004 18:32 GMT7
Thank you all for your messages regarding our 20th anniversary.  We had
a lot of fun over the weekend.  DH planned the entire weekend which was
spent in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He reserved a box car room at the
Chattanooga Choo-Choo (for those not familiar, the Chattanooga ...
[Abuse Warning] - Poetic Justice!10 Sep 2004 18:23 GMT7
I heard on the news this morning that a man in Pensacola FL had a litter of
puppies that he couldn't find homes for so he decided to take matters into
his own hands and shoot the puppies.  He shot 3, but the others where moving
around too much for him to take aim so he set the ...
Red Dot Greeblings (Oliver's Story)10 Sep 2004 15:25 GMT22
Hello friends near and far and a special hello to my adopted Mama,
Nikki, in Findland.  Forgive me for not sending in a story by the
September 1st deadline but, you see, something horrible has happened.
My home has been infested with red dot greeblings.

Useless cats.
Stupid shampoo.
Many years ago I had a friend whose parents worked for Bristol Myers, the
inventors of Clairol Herbal Essence shampoos.  The original formula had to
Rocky's autobiography (looong)10 Sep 2004 14:57 GMT14
Sorry if anyone thinks this is too long. I broke it down into parts
and seriously considered posting each part separately, but then
decided that if I were one of those reading I'd rather get the whole
story in one fell swoop. Anyway, there's Rocky's Story, from his
Another purr request I'm afraid10 Sep 2004 14:53 GMT18
Luckily this doesn't involve any felines, just hoomins, but I hope you
don't mind if I ask for some consolatory purrs for the following:
My aunt Felicity died recently aged 78 and leaves 3 children &
assorted grandchildren who miss her greatly.
Skeeter blues10 Sep 2004 08:10 GMT37
I feel so sorry for Skeeter.  She had a favorite place to lie, in the
geraniums by the sliding glass door.  She has spent a great deal of time
there the past couple of days.
I check up on her whereabouts often because of her CRF, and because it's
[OT] Pup Shoots Man...10 Sep 2004 07:16 GMT1
...Saves Litter Mates
I know talking about d*gs is OT for this group, but after reading this
story I felt like sharing this bit of news.

Fun for cats...not so much for hoomins10 Sep 2004 05:32 GMT7
The day before Dennis left to go back to work, he decided to buy some new
furniture for us.  They are delivering it today.  We got one of those
Chinese step cabinets and we're going to use it for the TV, stereo and all
that stuff.
Too Funny!!10 Sep 2004 03:09 GMT1
