3 Kittens to give away14 Sep 2004 22:31 GMT1
I live in Copperas Cove TX and have 3 kittens I need to give away to a good
home.  Any takers in this area?  An oops case; I can't keep more than the
two adult cats I have.  I thought I had the adult cats both fixed, but
something went wrong!

I guess I haven't formally introduced Marietta...she is a Siamese &
Tortie DSH custom-blend adopted in October of last year.

My mom is hoping they'll release her from the hospital today. They've
already taken out the catheter they used for medications and she's been
Announcing Matareka14 Sep 2004 21:00 GMT22
It is with great joy that I announce the newest addition to the
household.  Her name - just recently decided - is Matareka, which means
charming, cheerful and loving.  All of which describe her to a tee.  She
is mostly tabby but is while along the legs and on the stomach and
The Skeeter roller coaster ride continues14 Sep 2004 18:53 GMT48
It has been one week since Skeeter was diagnosed with CRF, so it was
back to the vet for a recheck.
Some of her levels were down slightly, but her white count was up, so
the doctor put her on a stronger antibiotic.  Skeeter has not been
OTIS:  Another miracle14 Sep 2004 18:47 GMT41
Unbelievable!  He was trapped early Tuesday morning and he is at home now
sitting on my computer desk looking quite at home.  It was quite an
operation staged by my parents, the cattery lady, kids in the neighbourhood
who put up signs, and all of the people in the neighbourhood.  My ...
More purrs, please14 Sep 2004 17:52 GMT24
Talk about timing! Now that our group purr activity is completed, my
wife tells me that Cleopatra seems to be feeling under the weather.
She'll be getting her in to the vet tomorrow, but we could use purrs
that she's just tired, not sick.

Silly, Pouncy, Moe14 Sep 2004 17:48 GMT4
The other night I went to bed after DH, and of course woke Moe.  I endured
her laps around the bed, and she finally settled in the crook of my knees (I
was laying on my side).  Almost as soon as she settled, I got the proverbial
crook in my left knee (which is the side I was ...

Barn Kitties REDUX14 Sep 2004 16:07 GMT2
Okay - this time *I*saw the kitty.
About 5-6 months old, gray/black stripey tabby.
Had some curiousity about me as I trilled and breeped at it, but decided
life was safer under the riding lawn mower.  (NOTE TO SELF: Tell DH there
Roxy's boxy14 Sep 2004 15:56 GMT13
I bought a new toaster today - not a toaster oven, just a plain,
garden-variety toaster that will toast two, not four, slices of
bread at once. The box it came in was just big enough to hold it
along with some packing stuff.
It feels like a submarine hunt...14 Sep 2004 15:21 GMT19
without the sonar, helicopters, radar, etc.  A gray cat generally
meeting Ding's description has now been reported twice in an area of
townhouses, which unfortunately is quite dense with winding streets,
patches of woods, and lots of foliage. The reports are from two ends of

Animals are not currency14 Sep 2004 13:20 GMT6
On another chat that I can't post to they are talking about charging
fees to rescue animals.  Since I can't post there I post here because
I just am kinda p.o.'d at a lot about the incendiary post that I read
and need an outlet, please indulge me.
