Nothing Like the Real Thing22 Aug 2004 21:38 GMT7
Well, the little goofball has done it again. He was cruising around
the house a lot, as he often does in the evening. He usually does a
whole King of the Beasts number, patrolling all over, inspecting the
basement, and often letting out some bloodcurdling yowls to warn the
Lump on Stomache?22 Aug 2004 21:29 GMT35
I was just scratching Biskit and thought she had something in her fur on her
lower side. But it's a very hard lump not far from where she had the surgery to
fix that benign tumor thing when I first got her. I wonder if it's scar tissue
or something? It's really hard, you can move it ...

Please update us on the mother cat and kittens.  Have you been successful in
trapping them?

Nikki is 16 today!22 Aug 2004 17:37 GMT47
It's my little girl's birthday. I can't believe she's been with me for so
long! As my sister said this summer, she might as well be 5 years old, she
has retained her kittenish looks all her life. I made a little album of her
birthday activities on webshots:
Dulce Mae goes recruiting22 Aug 2004 17:32 GMT5
Dulce Mae is a homeless kitty who was slightly adopted by some
previous tenants, then abandoned once again when they moved away. They
apparently figured she was homeless once, she could be homeless again
(heavy sigh).
OT, Sort of - cat print fabric wanted22 Aug 2004 15:54 GMT14
I am trying to find a polar fleece type fabric with a cat design on it to
make a throw for my mom's bed. She lives in a nursing home, so the fabric
has to take a LOT of washing.  I thought I saw one at a local fabric store,
but it wasn't available the next time I went in. (just my ...
I know somebody else must do this too22 Aug 2004 15:49 GMT29
I know somebody else must do this too
I'm retired now, but when I was at the office, I would call home and
often get the recorder.  It was tied to a speaker so someone in  the
house could hear who was on the phone and pick it up if they wanted to
Harvey's new 'trick'22 Aug 2004 15:39 GMT1
Harvey has learned he can hunt down those rascally humans and give them the
evil eye when demanding gooshy food.
Also, he's learned the craft boxes aren't always stable
Cats and drinks don't mix...22 Aug 2004 13:59 GMT7
We were relaxing watching the Olympics on TV and drinking some
pommegranate margaritas. I was sitting on my favorite chair, with my
feet up on the ottoman, my body was almost horizontal. Thanks to the
position and my affinity for fine foods *grin*, I was able to hold my
This girl just keep growin'!22 Aug 2004 12:51 GMT16
I just weighed Sammy again.  Now keep in mind that she's exactly 19 weeks
old, that's 4 months 3 weeks, yes, just 133 days and... she weighs 6.6
pounds!!!  I'm beginning to be afraid!!!!
Hugs,
Another reason to quit smoking22 Aug 2004 10:25 GMT22
I was smoking up to between 2 and 3 packs a day, so decided it was
about time to quit. I told myself I'd quit on my BD, which was in
June, but didn't quite make it then. Finally stopped in July, and
haven't smoked since July 15th. (Not to say I went cold turkey, I'm
Minnie Mini-Update21 Aug 2004 23:45 GMT3
Got an email from Laura, Minnie's new slave:
Hi there!  Just wanted to send you a quick email while I was thinking about
it.  Minnie is doing great!  In fact we traveled back home for a few days
and she's loving it here.  We live right by the woods and she just loved
Bear expresses himself21 Aug 2004 21:31 GMT16
Having adopted two little boy cats from a <clueless> neighbor over Memorial
Day, it was time for the big snip, the de-nutting, the worst day of their
young lives.  Since I had been the one to take them to TED for their shots,
I decided Daddy got to handle this one.
Narrow escape for all involved21 Aug 2004 21:23 GMT5
Today is DH's birthday.  At around 6:00 this morning he woke me up and
told me he needed my help.  I was somewhat groggy but came wide awake
when he told me, "I need you to help me get this possum out of the
house."  Excuse me?!? We don't have a cat flap. How did a possum get
