Purrs needed - shelter kitten30 Aug 2004 12:37 GMT23
One of the kittens at the shelter, a little grey and white girl named
Anastasia, suddenly became ill.  I was at the shelter yesterday, and she
seemed fine.  Was very energetic, appeared healthy.  This morning, one of
the volunteers called me (the kitten coordinator is on vacation) ...

Silly cat moments30 Aug 2004 06:47 GMT6
Omar, my silly orange boy, has learned that I will sometimes open the
dishwasher door and pull the racks out to cool faster, so he now warms his
furry little backside on the open dishwasher door in front of the pulled-out
rack whenever he can...tonight Oreo joined the basking ...
The Truce30 Aug 2004 06:33 GMT2
Right here on my desk a moment ago, Eli walked up to the sleeping Abelard,
put a paw on his back and began licking his head, as if to say "I'm sorry
for picking on you lately, and I'm glad you're home and safe." Then he
grabbed Abelard's neck gently with his teeth, as if to say ...
How long for FIP test? 30 Aug 2004 05:34 GMT5
It's been two weeks since I lost my Fireball, and I think I am ready to get my other cat a little brother. I went to see a cat yesterday in a shelter. It was heart wrenching. Anyway, how long does it take for a FIP test to get results? They had just put Gabriel, (name change I ...
The Cat House30 Aug 2004 04:12 GMT10
I'm surrounded by sleeping cats. Abelard and Lilly are on my desk, Tommy is
on a table top, Billy is on another table, Baby Eyes is on the back of the
sofa, Eli is in the newspaper recycling bin. I never want to let any of them
out of my sight, ever.
Flat Cat Syndrome30 Aug 2004 04:10 GMT12
We've had a heat wave where I live this week with temperatures spiking into
the high 90's.  My apartment is less than perfectly ventilated (read hot),
and none of us have much energy, even with fans going full blast.
Consequently, we've had an outbreak of Flat Cat Syndrome.  That is ...
Found Tagged Cat30 Aug 2004 02:16 GMT28
This declawed, older cat wandered up to my sister's house. It had a "petfinder"
tag, and rabies tag. The rabies tag was from a vet in Indiana. (we are in
Okla.)
She called the number for the petfinder tag. They said they could not release
What the Bleep & Job purrs30 Aug 2004 01:35 GMT29
This post is actually about two things. First, has anyone seen the
movie "What the (Bleep) Do We Know"? (Sometimes written as "What the
#@$*! Do We Know".)
It's a documentary about the total weirdness of quantum physics and
Little Gray Cat29 Aug 2004 22:48 GMT16
This is the little gray cat that hangs out in our back yard about 2 or 3
days out of the week (naturally we feed her).  When we first moved in our
house, in November of 2003, we thought she might be pregnant and started
making plans for TNR.  She kept getting bigger and bigger, but ...

Recently ran across this.  An oldie but a goodie, and some might not
have seen it!

Snippets of T&H (long, random rambles)29 Aug 2004 21:49 GMT7
Tallulah and Hubert sit side by side, washing their faces in tandem.
Tallulah had been able to jump up on the cedar chest to escape Hubert;
as of yesterday, he can jump up there all by himself.  So much for her
peaceful naps, as well as for the plant and bowl of potpourri formerly
Stinky's progress, or: URRRK! (long)29 Aug 2004 21:34 GMT10
As I reported this past week, Stinky has been on a veritable killing
spree, the likes of which he has never experenced before.  It's like
he's having a late awakening of his hunting instincts, and he's making
the most of it.

Bev says hello from California29 Aug 2004 19:14 GMT1
I had a lovely, long telephone chat with Bev this morning!  She asked me
to say hello to everybody.  They've been having a wonderful time
(despite losing their camera), but I think will be glad to get home again.
Note to David Yehudah:  Bev asked me to send you her telephone ...
