One of the kittens at the shelter, a little grey and white girl named
Anastasia, suddenly became ill.  I was at the shelter yesterday, and she
seemed fine.  Was very energetic, appeared healthy.  This morning, one of
the volunteers called me (the kitten coordinator is on vacation) ...

I'm surrounded by sleeping cats. Abelard and Lilly are on my desk, Tommy is
on a table top, Billy is on another table, Baby Eyes is on the back of the
sofa, Eli is in the newspaper recycling bin. I never want to let any of them
out of my sight, ever.

We've had a heat wave where I live this week with temperatures spiking into
the high 90's.  My apartment is less than perfectly ventilated (read hot),
and none of us have much energy, even with fans going full blast.
Consequently, we've had an outbreak of Flat Cat Syndrome.  That is ...

This declawed, older cat wandered up to my sister's house. It had a "petfinder"
tag, and rabies tag. The rabies tag was from a vet in Indiana. (we are in
Okla.)
She called the number for the petfinder tag. They said they could not release

Tallulah had been able to jump up on the cedar chest to escape Hubert;

As I reported this past week, Stinky has been on a veritable killing
spree, the likes of which he has never experenced before.  It's like
he's having a late awakening of his hunting instincts, and he's making
the most of it.

This girl is BIG!  She's LESS THAN 5 MONTHS OLD!!!  I'm not a little girl

I had a lovely, long telephone chat with Bev this morning!  She asked me
to say hello to everybody.  They've been having a wonderful time
(despite losing their camera), but I think will be glad to get home again.
