Exploring the Mouser Part 1 (long)19 Aug 2004 05:40 GMT1
Mischief trots below deck to tour the Mouser and see what she can
find.  There seemed to be a couple different levels.
The first level was mainly a large room.  There were several cat trees
and scratching posts scattered around the room.  There were dangling
Persia sleeping over my head19 Aug 2004 05:31 GMT1
Persia hasn't done this since I first was adopted by her.  Last night she
decided the place to be was on the pillow above my head (I have several on
my bed).  I reached up to pat her and she playfully wrapped her paws around
my hand, gave me a gentle nip.  She basically let me know, ...

Zoo Barncat19 Aug 2004 04:36 GMT1
I visited the Nashville (Tennessee) Zoo today.  It is located on an
old farm, and the farmhouse, called Grassmere and built circa 1810,
is now a house museum.  A number of outbuildings have also been
preserved as a "historic farm", and they have draft horses, goats,
Now I understand...19 Aug 2004 04:26 GMT8

Well silly me. Waffles always did tell me Frank was singing and not yowling.

Sadie19 Aug 2004 04:20 GMT4
I went to see Sadie today,  took her my old shirt.  She started sucking on
it as soon as i gave it to her.  Then she started running around the room
and scratching everything then she would come up and lay by me again and
give me the loudest purr you'd ever heard.  I didn't get to ...
When will she learn?19 Aug 2004 04:09 GMT3
Lacey seems to have an association problem. Primarily, she has a problem
associating Hobbes' tail with the rest of his body.  This leads to her
getting into fights with Hobbes.  They get along great until play time
at which point Hobbes' considerable size factors into the ...
slightly OT: The Olympics19 Aug 2004 03:49 GMT9
Well, Jazz and I are happily ensconced in our family room surrounded by 6
tvs, all connected to digital cable watching the Olympics. This year NBC and
its affiliates are airing different things on different channels. Right now
we are watching Boxing on the largest tv, women's field ...
Feeling challenged and confused19 Aug 2004 03:47 GMT12
A lady friend told me last night that she felt overwhelmed by her pets,
two cats and a dog. If I understand correctly, each of the cats were
adopted by her children while living at home, but, with divorce, medical
school/residency, and law school, the pets remained at home.

Purrs for Sammy, Please18 Aug 2004 19:57 GMT28
Sammy is going in for her spay tomorrow.  I know I'm just being a
nervous mommy, but I'm SO scared for her.  Please send purrs that
things go well and she has no complications from either the anesthesia
(isoflurane) or the surgery itself.
Purrs for Fireball and Amber and their cat slaves18 Aug 2004 19:56 GMT4
I'm sorry for your losses and will send healing purrs.
And purrs to anyone else who might need them, whether for their fur-kids or
other things.

Hubert used the litterbox!!  (Sort of GW)18 Aug 2004 16:35 GMT17
And Tallulah did NOT like it.  He figured it out all by himself; got
in and made a teeny little poop and scratched around, trying to cover
it but missing entirely.  Tallulah was upset and dragged it out to eat
it.  I backed her off, picked it up and put it back in the box, and
Question re: Hairballs18 Aug 2004 13:58 GMT16
For some reason, she's been shedding a lot more than normal (she's a short
hair) the last month or so.  I'd never really had a problem with hairballs
but now she's coughing them up quite regularly.  I've been brushing her at
least every other day and having to clean the brush two or ...
Request for purrs (kinda long)18 Aug 2004 13:51 GMT19
I need some purrs for my parents, and maybe a few to soothe my nerves.
Night before last, my parents (and their unbelievably kind neighbor)
were at the ER.  Short version: we think Mom had a mini-stroke, but they
can't find anything to prove this.  The only test they didn't do was ...
