Hi, my name is Cora and I am a looonnnggg time lurker to this group. I
had 6 kittys but yesterday, 6-28, I had to have Arizona sent to the
Rainbow Bridge.
She was 12 years old. She was a tortie manx. What a purrsonality. Fat,

Sweetie and Joe have banished the "No cats in the master bedroom" rule.
The strategy was simple - make more of a ruckus ripping the carpet apart
under the door that when they stomp on our heads at 2am.

Cyst is Benign02 Jul 2004 19:23 GMT26
Got the lab results back on Persia's cyst.  Turns out it's a bit like
diverticulitis; food and stuff got into a pouch inside the bladder.  The
body tried to heal that up by covering the cyst over like an oyster does
irritations when forming a pearl.  At any rate, it's benign and ...

Purrs, good wishes and some thoughts02 Jul 2004 19:06 GMT3
First of all, I'd like to let everyone know that we're sending out
good vibes and wishes for everyone who wants and/or needs them.  That
being said, I can't spend the time I'd like on the puter, as I'm not
using mine.
OT: anyone been to Beijing02 Jul 2004 08:24 GMT10
Anyone here ever been to Beijing? I just got an invitation to a
meeting there with airfare and hotel paid (!), but I really hate
leaving my kitties and am not sure whether to go. I am not
exactly a big fan of the Chinese government's style, but am a

Shirk Sighting - British Columbia02 Jul 2004 02:59 GMT37
After days of hot hot weather here in the Okanagan, it rained today in
honour of the Shirk's visit to Canada.
Loen (DH) & I drove down and met up with the Shirk family in Penticton
for a pleasant afternoon visit. There was an Elvis festival in Penticton
The Cherry Bandit Rides Again01 Jul 2004 21:18 GMT23
A summer tradition:  the first yummy Bing cherries.  We bring them
home, and I put them in a colander in the sink to wash them.
Not only are cherries delicious, but they are the most coveted cat
toys.  They smell great, they are a perfect size and weight, and they
Richmond VA Area Shelters?01 Jul 2004 17:50 GMT11
A friend who has listened to my tales about Persia for several years has
decided he needs a cat.  He's retired, in his 60's and many of us who chat
with him in the rfc chat room are constantly talking about our cats.  Last
night he finally confessed, "I think I want to get a cat."  ...
Robin is relieved01 Jul 2004 17:50 GMT14
Last night I put a dab of veseline on his scab and Robin started
pushing against my hand; so I rubbed it in good. He sure enjoyed the
rubbing. But then the scab came off in pieces and when I wiped it
clean, it was all healed with just a bit of pink.
Job Purr Request01 Jul 2004 17:09 GMT27
I've been unemployed for 2 months now, and had my first interview on
Thursday. I'm really interested in the job I interviewed for, it's
back in my old area of expertise and would be a *lot* more interesting
than my last job (programmer).
Hey, what's this....01 Jul 2004 13:08 GMT4
in the Fancy Feast bowl????
A while back I stopped feeding FF and switched to Iams, and the
kitties weren't thrilled! I still buy the FF though, and feed them
some on special occasions. I guess you could read that as bribes,

OT: PURRS for possible job!01 Jul 2004 11:15 GMT18
Got a call from a guy (George) I worked with roughly 7 years ago. He'd sent
me email yesterday asking for my input about another former co-worker who
had applied for a job he has open.  He couldn't help but laugh over my
description of this guy always wandering around trying to find ...
