"Noisy Bangers" -- Grrrrrr08 Jul 2004 08:23 GMT19
Rant mode on/
Why do so many people find it necessary, not just on, but for days
before and after, the 4th of July, to set off incredibly loud
fireworks in crowded neighborhoods?  Don't they consider the risk of
Kitty Sneezes08 Jul 2004 03:40 GMT11
When it rains it pours (swear to god, it's rained here every day but one for
over a month).  Along with all the other stuff going on in my life, now I'm
noticing Persia is sneezing.  It is entirely possible she's always sneezed
and I'm just noticing it because I'm at home most of ...
new kind of birdy08 Jul 2004 03:11 GMT10
A storm came though about 6 this morning. Not much rain, but enough so
that I'm giving the lawns a little time to dry out before heading out
to pick up the mowers. Actually, I have the weather channel on and may
just not mow today. Another round of storms is due this afternoon.
Shamrock and the mole holes08 Jul 2004 02:50 GMT13
Outside in the cat enclosure, I've noticed more and more mole holes.
There are even some 2x4's adjacent to the concrete slab that is sort
of a patio out there because grass doesn't really grow and it
provides a walkway over the mud when it rains, and the moles have
2 or 3 nites away?07 Jul 2004 22:51 GMT4
Well, I asked a while back. Leave Bert the cat home for how long, as I
spend a few  nights with  lady. Despite the 2-night max generally
recommended, he's done fine with 3...FYI. Of course with beaucoup food
and water. And cute and loving when I return...as long as he gets out
The Bad, The Good, The Beautiful07 Jul 2004 22:01 GMT15
Remember the saga of Emanuel and Buddy? Awhile back Emanuel and a
cousin managed to catch the orange kitty they were sure was Buddy
returning. But he fought like heck and got away and hasn't been seen
since. But they know now that it wasn't Buddy after all. this cat was
On The Road Again07 Jul 2004 22:00 GMT1
Well, Gang, we hit the road back to North Carolina on the eighth and
plan on being back home on the eighteenth.  It's been a lot of fun,
we've met a lot of people, seen a lot of new stuff, and experienced so
much.
Has anyone got a copy of this video??07 Jul 2004 21:04 GMT10
It's been a few years since I saw it, it was one of those things
that gets passed around the network at work.  I had a copy on my
workstation, but never got around to e-mailing it home.
The video is about 45 seconds long and shows a kitten about a

Remember I posted about a robin that flies into the utility room and helps
itself to the dry catfood from Waffles's bowl? Have a look at

Imagine My Surprise....07 Jul 2004 01:37 GMT33
To discover my recently adopted cat girl, Francesca, was expecting a kitten!
To distill this story down to its essentials,  I made a trip to the
emergency vet on Sunday night, because there was a great deal of watery,
bloody discharge dripping out of Francesca's rear end.  At the ...
Uh...Joe Kitty is no Olympian06 Jul 2004 23:14 GMT7
So, Sweetie cat is a delicate gentile 8.5 lbs of orange puddy.
Joe Kitty is 18.9 lbs of cloddy galumping orange fluff who high centers
himself walking across our laps.
We keep our bedroom door just slightly ajar now, so the cats can come and go

Harvey on the recliner06 Jul 2004 18:26 GMT1
So I was curled up in the recliner with my blanket. Harvey came by. He wanted
to hop on the footrest as usual but there was something wrong! The blanket was
there!
As it would quite obviously be Wrong for Harvey to rest on the blanket, I had

Yesterday, I went to socialize with the kitties at the animal humane shelter
and ran into a woman who should definitely not own a cat (or any pet, I'm
thinking)...I was petting kitties and when I first met the woman I thought
maybe I could help her and I started showing her ...
