Offensive foods25 Jun 2004 11:51 GMT18
Are there any foods your cat detests?
Smokey is a real moocher, when it comes to human food. If we are in the
kitchen she'll plunk her butt down in the middle of the floor and howl
until she gets a bite. Her favourites our Cheddar cheese and Cod. She
Glass smacking25 Jun 2004 04:26 GMT14
Do any of you have cats who smack the glass (it's hard to explain) when they
want to come back in? Harvey does it, it looks as if he's trying to scratch a
hole in the glass. But he's just getting our attention.
Nice try :-)25 Jun 2004 00:30 GMT3
Felix does not approve of moving. When I got up today and went to
start packing boxes, I couldn't find my tape dispenser. DH couldn't
find it either. We think the cat hid it, hoping to stop this moving
problem :-).
A soggy Tuesday24 Jun 2004 21:08 GMT15
Unseasonal gales & heavy rain all day today (look out Helen in
Norfolk, it's on its way) so I'm having to cope with 3 miserable
felines.
Bandit, who goes out freely during the day, is constantly coming to
Kitty Ears24 Jun 2004 20:47 GMT16
Right now, there is in my kitchen, a display of a behavior that
has several names depending on DH's whim.  Mostly she just calls it
"giving her ears."  It's when a pussycat is who is displeased with you
sits with his back turned but points his ears back at you so as not to
Robin fails the test24 Jun 2004 14:50 GMT33
I looked at Robin's ouchie and decided to try him without the
E-collar. Not one minute after it was off, he was scratching furiously
and made his ouchie bloody. Back to square one. I sopped up the blood
and put aloe vera on the spot this time. And the E-collar went back
Tips on Traveling with Cats24 Jun 2004 13:52 GMT5
got any?
Tygra and Possum are traveling in the car with us.  Plane plans fell thru.
I'm thinking that at night, sarah and I will sleep in a tent and let the
cats have the run of the car (its automatic, they can't kick it out of gear)
Bonnie Bubbles24 Jun 2004 08:56 GMT15
Bonnie sat in the middle of the lounge looking deep in communication
with the mothership.   Then it happened - she hiccupped, twice.  A
moderate sized bubble came out of her mouth and drifted towards the
ceiling!   I blinked - this was something new.  Perhaps I was imagining
Scratching Posts24 Jun 2004 04:39 GMT5
My cats share a scratching post that is going on 6 years.  They have enjoyed
it for years but they have had the expected effect on the carpeting.  If
anybody knows of sites showing on how to recover in carpet or replacing /
wrapping the uprights in rope/cord would they post them.  ...

How DARE you!!!!!!!24 Jun 2004 01:51 GMT52
We give a lot of baths at our vet hospital.  Of course they are mostly
dogs, but every now and then there will be a cat on the daily task
sheet that needs a bath.
Giving a cat a bath, huh?  I'm sure there are some of you here that

French Panther23 Jun 2004 23:38 GMT7
For 3 weeks they've been looking for a panther reported by the public
to be roaming the streets of Marseilles. Searchers have now caught up
with it:

Cold Winter Monarchs23 Jun 2004 22:25 GMT3
I am always sorry for end of autumn monarchs.   I have plenty of swan
plants for them but as it becomes colder the caterpillars get slower.
The butterflies vanish and the handful of remaining catterpillars
struggle to eat enough to turn inco cocoons.  There's nothing I can
Update. ( Was wish me luck )23 Jun 2004 22:08 GMT2
My feral, Tuffy, with the UTI problem, ate both his morning dose, and his evening dose!!!! Yippeee! AND..... he let me pet him for a few seconds. He then bit me a few minutes later, but oh well, he didn't break skin. Tuna juice is a lovely thing! He went to the grass and strained ...
