Ghost at my shoulder05 Jun 2004 17:46 GMT14
I keep feeling there's a cat on the shoulder of the chair I'm sitting on
here at the computer, the feeling so strong I look more than once but no
cat.  The feeling doesn't leave.  Then I remember Max;  it is *his*
spot, to sit on a chair arm or back while I read or type - Max is ...
More Daddy, More05 Jun 2004 15:19 GMT7
My Smokey, a large Russian Blue rescue with a fourteen inch
(count 'em) tail loves to be brushed, but what he really likes is to
be combed.  I don't know how many of you keep a cat brush or a cat
comb by the computer in case a furchild should drop by for a little
Van Gogh let me brush him!05 Jun 2004 15:10 GMT3
I'm on my third (and last) day of catsitting for my friends' two
cats, one of whom is a former feral and very shy. Yesterday, he
allowed me to brush him - his humans had told me that if he lets me
near him, I should try brushing him because he LOVES it - and they
Taking a relationship to a whole new level.05 Jun 2004 14:57 GMT14
I usually spend the early morning sitting in the recliner next to the
open glass door into the back yard with coffee and newspaper.
The cats will come and go as they see fit and will often just pause on
the porch to see what we are doing inside.  And I'll talk to them when ...
Sneakers the klutzy kitten-cat05 Jun 2004 13:09 GMT10
Sneakers is our now-one-year-old tabby with white paws (hence the name).
He is an incredible sweety, with a great mix of love and energy. But in
the six months he's owned us, he's had three unplanned trips to the vet.
First, he had what appeared to be a mini-seizure. We might not ...
They're here!05 Jun 2004 12:13 GMT21
The kittens are home!  They are so darn cute and fun.  You would never know they
had just been altered earlier today.  The incisions are so teeny and they are
simply "glued" together.  No stitches.  They were also microchipped (term of the
Humane Society's contract) and I guess ...

Use the left arrow button at the top of the picture to see all of them.
This stroller has really worked out well.  We haven't had him out as
Ugh! (GW)05 Jun 2004 05:29 GMT40
Now the light mornings are well and truly upon us, I am woken ever earlier by
three felines demanding to be allowed out into the garden at times when any
civilised being should be tucked up in bed snoring...
At five this morning, already daylight outside, I was forcibly dragged away
Thursday 4.5 Quake in NoCal05 Jun 2004 00:47 GMT25
Just reading on CNN.com there was a 4.5 quake in northern California
overnight. It was reported to have been centered on the small town of
King's Beach, California (in Placer County), which is apparently about
15 miles SW of Reno, Nevada.
Chocolate is back05 Jun 2004 00:09 GMT2
That brown cat that I nicknamed Chocolate is back again.  He used to hang
around our house a few months ago, always sleeping under the patio table.
He used to yowl at the sliding glass doors and Vino completely ignored him.
Then he quit coming around, although I did see him in the ...
Lynx Loose in Atlanta04 Jun 2004 19:38 GMT16
There is a Canadian Lynx roaming an Atlanta neighborhood.  I've
reprinted the text, but I'm posting the web addy of the article even
though registration is required because there are two really good
pictures people took of the lynx in their back yards; one of them with
trip in july04 Jun 2004 05:28 GMT4
In the first week of July my employer is holding their annual company
meeting  in Yardley, PA. I will be there for three days.
This is the longest I have been away since I have had my two cats. I
have someone looking in to on them every day, and such. But still I am a
FeLV stories04 Jun 2004 03:37 GMT10
I'd mentioned to someone that Shadow might be featured in a
collection of articles about FeLV+ kitties.  Well, it was posted. I'm
soooo not a writer, but the site owner, Tina, did a nice job putting
together some of my emails into a story about the miracle that is
OT mostly:  Need ideas, please03 Jun 2004 23:49 GMT33
One of my jobs before every trip, is to come up with a list for our
travel scavenger hunt.  Whoever finds the items gets a point, and who
ever has the most points at the end of the trip wins a goofy little
prize.  It's fun and keeps us all alert and looking out the windows.
