Pete the hospital cat14 Jun 2004 02:26 GMT15
Up until this past semester, I had never worked in a vet clinic
before.  I was excited to start in April at the Agoura Animal Clinic
in Agoura Hills, CA.
On my first day I was in the grooming room with our lockers and the

I just posted a funny pic of Moe on alt.binaries.pictures.animals.  Poor
quality pic, but DH has the good camera & I was forced to use the camera
phone :/
Barn kittens update 313 Jun 2004 23:36 GMT19
This morning Christine took some food to the barn for the mother cat. She
saw the cat exit the barn as she entered.
Then she heard a little hiss and looked in the dark place between a couple
of bales of hay.
Roxy seems better today13 Jun 2004 22:22 GMT17
No, you didn't miss a prior post. This is the first I've written about
how I've been somewhat worried about her. She's seemed more tired than
usual, sleeping much more than she used to, and less interested in food.
She *has* been eating, but with a lot less enthusiasm. So I took her ...
Dave G update13 Jun 2004 22:15 GMT7
Just got off the phone with Dave G.
He's fine, just rather tired from working all the time and is otherwise
extremely busy with "Real Life" (you know how it gets). He does know and
apologises for neglecting us.
Update on the Kittens (KFW)13 Jun 2004 22:13 GMT12
I can't write much..... so darn busy with workouts and work.  My first triathlon
is only 4 weeks away.  I am ready, I think! :)
Oh these kitteny rats are sure keeping me busy.  They are most demanding for
love and tend to get rather jealous when I am giving more love to one or the
Barn kittens found13 Jun 2004 21:49 GMT34
Thursday, my daughter, Christine, found five tuxedo kittens in the weeds
next to her barn.  She moved them, all hissing and spitting, into the barn,
put them in a box, and went to buy some kitten food.  When she got back the
barn, she found that some of the kittens had climbed out ...
Purrs needed yet again please! Mama Zoo13 Jun 2004 21:12 GMT20
This time it's one of my own that needs purrs, not a foster.  Mama Zoo, one
of my original fosters that is now  a forever, started getting sick Monday.
Coughing and vomitting.  I didn't think anything of it at first, thought
maybe trying to get up hairball so gave her some laxatone. ...
Princess Wants Your Attention13 Jun 2004 20:25 GMT16
I haven't posted a photo of Princess in a while and she's too beautiful to
keep to myself.  Check out Miss Big Eyes herself in my Shuttercity gallery:

Why the nip on the nose?13 Jun 2004 19:10 GMT11
Every time I'm having a love-fest with Basho (our smallest cat, a
Tonkinese), he *insists* on nipping at my nose. He's the only one of our
seven cats who does this. What does it mean? I don't mind it, usually.
Sometimes he manages to snatch a fang inside the nose, and that kinda
Studying for finals13 Jun 2004 15:08 GMT14
I'm trying to study for my finals this week, and Mischief keeps
walking all over my books!!!
*sigh*  I allowed it last night, because the final I took today was
based on cat anatomy.  But tomorrow I have a final on general anatomy
I've been chosen!13 Jun 2004 15:06 GMT39
Yay!  We have found some new furry masters.  I took a couple of pics with my
camera phone (so they aren't such great quality).
A girl and boy, littermates.  They are 8 weeks old and come from a foster home
where they have been hand raised since they were 3 weeks old.  The girl is ...
Purrrs needed again, please13 Jun 2004 13:17 GMT17
Sigh! I knew I was getting too complacent by comparing how much better
the cat situation is this year compared to last year this time....but,
dangitall, I'm getting tired of feuding felines...
Heard a ruckus in Celeste's bedroom this afternoon and sure enough,
Hemingway Cats13 Jun 2004 10:45 GMT4
Speaking of polydactyls, here are the cats resident at the Ernest
Hemingway Museum in Key West, Fl.  They are descendants of Hemingway's
six-toed cat, Snowball, and most are also six-toed.  You'll notice
that they are named after some of Heming way's favorite people. ;)
