| Chattering | 19 May 2004 13:36 GMT | 3 |
Persia is sitting on the window sill. It is finally sunny and there are fledgling robins all over the place out front. She's doing that funny "chattering" that cats do when they see birds. I'm looking at her and her head is just acquiver as she lets loose with that sound. I'm ...

| I have a fursib | 19 May 2004 05:31 GMT | 7 |
I've never had a fursib before. I think Cat would have liked to be a fursib but my father wasn't sure about being a cat slave. And even though he continued to feed Cat after he said he was going to stop, Cat disappeared about four weeks ago and I'm hoping that he found a new home ...

| The Mouseathon--BW | 19 May 2004 04:55 GMT | 7 |
Friday evening i get home in a daze after working a month of overtime. I just want to sit in my chair and let my body recover. So here comes Djoser from the enclosed porch making a throaty call...cause his mouth is full. My poor body produces one more burst of adrenaline as i jump

| Ear-notching! | 19 May 2004 04:39 GMT | 30 |
Hey everyone.. this is just a small rant. It turns out that some cat rescue groups around here cut a notch out of the tip of a kitty's ear to show the he or she has been neutered or spayed. While I'm all for neutering and spaying to reduce population, is

| Animal Cruelty Conviction | 19 May 2004 04:33 GMT | 18 |
I live in what I've fondly dubbed the "Idiot State." A couple of years ago, it finally passed an anti-cruelty law for the animals. Most "punishments" have been the slap-on-the-wrist type. Yesterday, a fellow was sentenced to *prison* (not jail) for 18 months plus five

| Purrs and prayers to all | 19 May 2004 01:37 GMT | 4 |
I'll never get caught up! This isn't necessarily a bad thing because it means there are lots of posts that I get to read and enjoy. Unfortunately, I know I'll miss someone. In particular, Pam, I'm terribly sorry to hear about Miss Penny. We have lit a candle in her

| You've got a tuuuummy! | 18 May 2004 20:35 GMT | 14 |
I'm sitting at the computer, and Buster is stretched out across my lap. I've got the virus scanner running, so I don't have anything to do but love a kitty. As I skritch Buster's head, he rolls over onto his back.

| purrs of the hoomin variety please | 18 May 2004 19:14 GMT | 26 |
We need purrs. My daughter called last night and she had fainted at work, this is the second time in about 2 months. So this time they found an abnormal EKG so they admitted her. She normally has an inverted T-wave just like I do, which is usually not a big deal, except this time it ...

| Purrs for my Dad | 18 May 2004 19:11 GMT | 22 |
When it rains, it pours. I just found out my father is going in for vascular surgery on Thursday, 5/20. He has blockages in his femoral artery which need to be cleared up; they are doing laser surgery and inserting a balloon (angio-plasty style).

| Stinky butt | 18 May 2004 17:38 GMT | 3 |
Mischief just jumped on my lap and started rubbing and purring.....then I smelled it. "Missy, did you cut one?" No, her butt just stunk. No poo stuck to it, but it just stunk

| The kitten search is still on! | 18 May 2004 14:33 GMT | 11 |
I guess I have a thing for kitties with "bat ears". They are sibs. Not quite ready to go yet... I haven't heard from the foster mom of the tiger kittens I put a verbal reserve on yet. I am actually having a hard time finding kittens here. Nothing at the

| Moving my sister's cat | 18 May 2004 05:26 GMT | 2 |
My sister has a fat, old cat named Hannah. She's an orange tortie of humungous proportions with one mighty mean attitude. She lures you in with a sweet little "meww", then rubs against your hand, then suddenly hisses, spits and smacks you as hard as she can. Once you are thoroughly ...

| No wonder I can't sleep | 18 May 2004 04:58 GMT | 1 |
Woke up about 3:00 this AM to find Nancy curled up on the right side of my pillow and The Moose curled up on the left. Moogie was laying on my legs, which were twisted up like pretzels. My head was sandwiched in between Nancy and Moose with no room to turn. Couldn't move. So I poked ...
