| A pride of pussycats | 26 May 2004 19:17 GMT | 3 |
I mentioned that there are two mother cats that sort of float between my porch and that of my neighbor. The two are at least half sisters and perhaps full sisters. What's unusual about them is that when the kittens are not around, these two will stand touching each

| I wish Nancy had her camera ready... | 26 May 2004 18:18 GMT | 5 |
One afternoon last week Nancy missed the perfect photo opportunity. The back door was open, the sun was shining, and the cats were in the back yard. Three of the cats were engaged in a project. Tabitha, Sammy, and Cleopatra were surrounding a gopher hole in the

| On the Tiles | 26 May 2004 15:13 GMT | 1 |
Last night was warm and interesting, and Cav flatly refused to come in. In fact, he showed his bottom to me, jumped into next door's garden, and disappeared into the shrubbery. I called for him at 11 p.m. and again at midnight, but he had decided to have some fun, and didn't show up ...

| Little Kitty Pats | 26 May 2004 14:59 GMT | 1 |
So I'm typing for a few minutes when I feel two little feet pat me on the side of the leg. It's my Persian rescue, Roxy, who is reminding me again what time it is. It's not time for typing, that's for sure. It's kitty play time.

| Help save me from the fleas! | 26 May 2004 08:19 GMT | 9 |
We've been using Advantage on our kids for the past couple years. I don't know if the product has changed or if our fleas have evolved, but they have just as many fleas 2 weeks after the applications as they did before the applications. ANYONE know which flea controller will work ...

| Knucklehead Kitty! | 26 May 2004 05:51 GMT | 11 |
"Homie" is a black American Shorthair; a recent adoptee from a friend's move into a new, more-desirable, but non-cat apartment. Watching Middy-Boo, who is my first-adopted blackie of two years and Homie discover that neither was the only black kitty in their respective worlds any ...

| Plz look at my new web site | 26 May 2004 04:30 GMT | 3 |
Hi there. Just updated my web pages, feel free to browse. I think all the links work - if they don't I'm too tired to care <smile> Off to Dallas for business tomorrow *sigh* means I have to talk business all the time - they don't talk about much else, even during free time. And ...

| dry catnip vs fresh | 26 May 2004 01:38 GMT | 12 |
You know, I think my 3 cats all prefer dried catnip to the fresh stuff. I grow it in a pot on my front balcony, and have been giving them fresh catnip leaves for years. They like it, and they eat it, but one time, I had to get rid of one of the catnip plants so I could use the pot ...

Did anyone happen to catch the recent episode of PBS's program "Nature" that was all about cats? The episode title is "Extraordinary Cats" http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/excats/index.html

| OT Humor - Notable movie-listing sequences | 25 May 2004 14:04 GMT | 11 |
I was clicking through Comcast's on screen Movie menu to see if anything was on worth watching (nope). But I did notice a lot of notable sequences in the listing. All of these were in the listings, in the given order. My smartass comments follow the sequences:

| Kitty Spoon | 25 May 2004 14:04 GMT | 3 |
I saw something at the grocery store yesterday I couldn't resist. It's a cat spoon. It's plastic, has a little kitty head at the top with its mouth open (so you can hang it up), and it's notched so you can (supposedly) clean out the entire can of cat food. It was too

| Feed the Animals (Not quite OT) | 25 May 2004 04:17 GMT | 1 |
A friend sent me the link to this - her e-mail included some very appealing pictures of puppies, but I didn't want to forward it to a binary group. Here is the message (shorn of the illiustrations): The Animal RescueSite is having trouble
