| The trip is still On` | 09 May 2004 16:35 GMT | 8 |
I managed to accomplish some great things in the course of a single day. Sent my updated resume to a headhunter I used about 15 years ago. On her website found a job posting which is nearly perfect based on my experience. Filed for unemployment insurance and that went more smoothly ...

| Back to the vets with Gabby! | 09 May 2004 13:04 GMT | 4 |
Gabby didn't want to eat again this morning, so back to the vets again we went! The vet checked her all over again, and again didn't find anything obviously wrong. She did give her some sub-q fluids and a shot of penicillin, just incase she is trying to fight off something. She ...

... and gave cause to the Battle of the Box. See http://tinyurl.com/28a8p and click next to see it unfold. Nikki sems to have won round one and two, and that's just as well because Frank would hardly be able to squeeze into the box. As you can see, it's hard enough for Nikki (the ...

| Hmmm - geneaology of a post | 09 May 2004 08:19 GMT | 12 |
My poor Honey and Cat post. One moment it was a happy little carefree post about cats doing impressions of Labradors, the next minute it had regressed to old quarrels in one corner and a ... holy cow am I reading that right.... a Toad Suck Festival (???)

| Being Harvey's Slave | 09 May 2004 03:11 GMT | 1 |
It's getting to be a ritual. I'm at the computer by the desk in the morning. Harvey stops by, stares at the desk, the deck, me until I get up and open the door. Then he ambles about on the deck and stares at the neato early morning flying Lunchables.

| Purrs for sick kitten, please | 09 May 2004 03:00 GMT | 24 |
I went to the local Pet Smart yesterday, and in their adoption center there was a small, 8-10 week old kitten, white with black or grey spots. Poor thing was so tiny, had a very bad cold (URI), snot running down it 's adorable pink nose, and had poop & cat litter stuck to it's butt ...

| Thanks for answering the question | 09 May 2004 00:43 GMT | 14 |
Thanks so much for all the help. I talked to my vet who said to take the kitten back to its mother. The woman came and got her and will have her vet check it out. She will keep the baby for another 2-3 weeks.

| Fresh catnip is strong stuff!!! | 08 May 2004 22:54 GMT | 9 |
We have a little catnip plant in a pot. The one we planted last year got smothered by a neighborhood cat, so we put this one on the deck, where we don't usually get feline visitors. I grabed one leaf of it today, rubbed in on my fingers and approached the cat enclosure. Maya ...

| Persia scratching the sofa | 08 May 2004 21:57 GMT | 5 |
She gets up on the arm of the sofa and starts that scratching thing, all willy nilly, like she's going to shred it to pieces... but she has no claws except in the back (no debates, please, that's how she was when I was adopted). So I like to tease her - you silly girl, what do you ...

| Well, that was exciting, not so mighty hunters | 08 May 2004 18:44 GMT | 19 |
This morning shortly after full daylight a small bird flew in through the gap at the bottom of my screened patio I leave for the cats to come and go. As it happens both cats were out on the patio lounging. I don't know who was more surprised the cats or the bird. The bird got ...

| Picture of my kitty..... | 08 May 2004 16:44 GMT | 11 |
I managed to get a fairly nice picture of my wonderful kitty Kenzie scanned, and I put it on alt.binaries.pictures.animals. You can see her pretty coat, and the way it looks like she's been in a bowl of butterscotch pudding <g>.
