| The Door Is Closed | 12 May 2004 19:26 GMT | 39 |
The back screen door I leave cracked for the cats to enter is now officially closed for the duration of the summer. I got up this morning and found a huge salamander in my shoe. Threw a towel over him and tossed it outside, shoe and all. He'd apparently been traveling all over the ...

| Peepers has remembered how to get my attention in the summer | 12 May 2004 12:05 GMT | 3 |
This has nothing to do with the mouse the other day. I let my cats out on the balcony. I keep an ear out and if they start to make any noise I bring them in. Years ago Peepers discovered he could get on a couple of boxes outside the

Perhaps most of you have this program, but if not, you can get an animated cat for your Windows desktop by downloading it from alt.binaries.pictures.animals. The note I attached to the file is as follows:

| Lost Chance | 12 May 2004 01:35 GMT | 9 |
Sunday morning I lost the chance to sleep in for the first time in years. Normally I get up at 5:40 and the cats especially Smudge tries to make it a little earlier but not too much so. Don't know why she is in such a rush as I won't be going into the kitchen to get Peepers' ...

| Martha the music lover | 11 May 2004 23:16 GMT | 4 |
Martha, our loveable chubby tortie, has developed an ear for good music. She lies on the couch and purrs when I play the classics on CDs. But now that spring's here, the ice cream truck has returned with the migrating birds, driving slowly up our street playing that wretched, tinkly ...

| Tee hee...My Honey and Joe Kitty | 11 May 2004 20:45 GMT | 146 |
From the time Joe was a kitten, the instant he met my Honey, he climbed right up on Honey's chest, made himself comfy, and went to sleep. Now that we all live together, Joe spends his morning following Honey around like a big dog. So half the time we call him "The Labrador". He ...

This past weekend the family were having the painters in. Since the mother is on oxygen, the family went to a motel for a couple days. The oxygen suppliers delivered a tank tot he motel and picked it up afterwards. Nice and convenient.

| Happy cat | 11 May 2004 07:43 GMT | 3 |
After going out for a bike ride with Nathan this afternoon, I mowed the lawn. Why, oh why, does grass grow so *XX!!** quickly!! Anyhow, I have a happy Waffles. She is out in the garden, rooting amongst the grass cuttings for mousies. Her tail is high, her whiskers out, and her eye ...

| Joe Joe Joe .... | 11 May 2004 04:46 GMT | 1 |
Joe Kitty can sprawl his entire body over about 3 square feet of floor in the kitchen, and not flinch as my 6 and 8 year old sons leap over from one side to the other. Not even a whisker twitch. The other night, however, as he was in my lap and I was wearing shorts,
