OT; question for the Canadians here18 Apr 2004 17:06 GMT17
I was wondering how the Canadians themselves think about the killing of
350000 young seals, and if and how they campaign against it.

Favorite Cat Names?18 Apr 2004 17:01 GMT2
I thought it might be fun to see what everyone's favorite cat names are.  We
are owned by two right now:
Name:  Marari (a.k.a. MarariCat, FatCat)
Meaning:  Bitter

Another vet tech student adopted him today.  She may also adopt tootsie when
she gets moved to a larger place at the end of the month.  She also however

they are back18 Apr 2004 08:17 GMT2
Mistoffelees and Grizzy survived their week in the cattery. They sulked for
quite a while when they got home and are both shattered so guess they didnt
get a lot of sleep.
The cattery continued to give them the rescue remedy so Grizzy is still
Curiosity... what a wonderful thing.18 Apr 2004 07:31 GMT3
The phrase "curiosity killed the cat" was probably coined by a time
traveller who met my cat, then went back in time. Some of the things

For instance, last night I started disassembling my mouse to clean out

Heh heh.  Quinn's got a girlfriend18 Apr 2004 05:29 GMT3
There's a couple feral cats that hang out and are fed by one of the
small businesses in back of my FL place;  I knew Quinn "knew" them but I
didn't know.  WHile I was working on a car I saw Quinn and the calico

Persia's Odd Bathtub Behavior this A.M.18 Apr 2004 00:39 GMT5
I was in the bathtub prior to getting ready for work this morning.  Persia
stepped from the toilet seat lid onto the edge of the tub and started
meowing.  This, in itself, is not unusual.  But this morning she started
leaning down towards the water, reaching one paw towards it, ...

Poor Tycho has infected anal glands. He was so upset he actually bit or

"Rescuing" a cat17 Apr 2004 20:56 GMT19
My wife and I used to live in a nice apartment with a path
between it and the next building.  You could park on the street back
past the path and walk through to go in the front door.
For almost a week, we had seen the same orange male sitting at
Moogie's harness training17 Apr 2004 20:56 GMT9
I'm trying to train Moogie to "walk" on a harness. Now that the weather has
been getting nicer, I'll take him out onto the deck and hook him to a light
leash. Unfortunately, the harness seems to have some mystical qualities to
it that render Moogie unable to walk, so he just rolls ...
