Getting her share of food24 Apr 2004 04:44 GMT8
My cat Sundance can be a real hog at mealtime, so Rebecca has to be
assertive about getting her share.  I was watching them at dinner the other
day.  I give them their food in two dishes so they can each have one, but
Sundance decided he wanted some of what Rebecca was eating (it's ...

Week from Hell (LONG)23 Apr 2004 18:38 GMT25
Speaking from Sickie Land here, about the week from hell.
It started with Cosmo and Internet, of course, and our trip to the
vet.  Then it went downhill from there.
Well, DH had a scheduled disciplinary hearing at his job that day for
Thank you all.23 Apr 2004 14:22 GMT26
I just want to thank everyone for all the kind words over the loss of Dusty.  I
copied and pasted every last one into a Word document and printed it out for my
daughter to read.  She can't believe that her Dust was so popular!  She is
having a really tough time with this.  She ...
Good for a laugh23 Apr 2004 14:09 GMT16
A friend sent this link to me.  I thought it was really funny.  More
interesting, though, is that there is something about the sound that
immediately attracted Holly.  She dashed from across the room, jumped up
onto the keyboard tray, kept staring intently at the screen while ...
Mike's depressed23 Apr 2004 04:12 GMT21
So said TED at our appointment this morning.  We had taken Mike in
ostensibly to have his thyroid levels checked, but mostly because our
little guy is just not himself.  He's having some nice times in the
spring weather, but mostly he just wants to sit with meowmie, and he's

Having a really tough day23 Apr 2004 02:44 GMT29
I was out last evening collecting the kids from their various after school
events and picking up dinner.
It was the kind of night you don't like to be out.  The classic dark and
raining night.
Bang!!23 Apr 2004 02:38 GMT1
One of the feral cats in the neighborhood (we call her Mama Cat)
comes up on our porch to eat the crunchies we put out.  Inside the
house there are crunchies available all the time in gravity feeders,
but we feed soft food twice a day (or more if the whining gets

Dusty RB23 Apr 2004 00:27 GMT69
The hardest thing I have ever had to type. :(   Last night it my best buddy
suffered some kind of stroke that caused him to loose control of his legs.
Within hours he became more and more weaker and quietly passed to the bridge
while I held him in my arms. Just before he died he ...
Purrs for PanCake22 Apr 2004 20:32 GMT20
A fellow poster on another newsgroup just suffered a terrible shock
and loss.  His beloved tabby kitty, PanCake, was apparently killed by
a dog.  If you and your kitty families could spare some purrs for
PanCake and his slave, I'm sure they would be greatly appreciated.
Ping Tanada22 Apr 2004 20:15 GMT2
Ok Pam, I'm in the middle of reading Asprins' Myth series with Aahz, Skeeve
and Tanda.  Well Tanda's full name is Tananda, which of course made me
wonder *but* I knew Tanada didn't have that extra "n".
Sooooo, where'd the name come from?
If it couldn't get worse....22 Apr 2004 18:44 GMT51
Eve woke up from her nap burning up, scorching hot, panting and heart
racing. I yanked her up, went to the ER and just got home... No
