TV watching positions21 Mar 2004 22:39 GMT14
Have you ever looked at how your cats positon themselves for tv watching (at
least if they actually do)?
I noticed Peepers watching Judge Judy tonight and was amazed at how he had
arranged himself.  He had assumed a sphinx position along the front of a

Senyah slipped in the tub this morning, and banged herself up pretty
badly. We went to the hospital, but she's okay.
Our apartment complex hasn't yet switched from heat to air
conditioning, despite the fact that temps are in the 80's here. This
Why, you nincompoop!21 Mar 2004 13:48 GMT9
Tonight Roxy and Licorice were sitting on a high shelf, staring intently
upward. It seems there was a small insect crawling on the ceiling. Roxy
had her paw extended and was batting gently at the small black spot.
Suddenly, Licky stuck his nose up and sniffed the bug, causing it to ...
Lapcat Conspiracy21 Mar 2004 06:36 GMT7
Yesterday at the office I was happily reading and posting on rpca,
when Ozzy leaped into my lap and settled himself down.  I reached over
and unplugged the telephone line from the computer and plugged it back
into the phone, so that if it rang I wouldn't have to get up and go in
Little Feet, the gentlecat21 Mar 2004 05:02 GMT6
Last night, Little Feet was chasing a bug around the house.
Every now and then, he would catch it and play with it. Finally, he
carried it to the plastic grocery bag he likes to lay on, and played
hidey-catchey with it - it would get lost in the folds of the bag, and

I sent Dave Yehudah an e-mail, telling him that we miss him and hope he
is all right.  His reply is below.

Another purr request21 Mar 2004 03:07 GMT31
Last night, my dear wife's Mom passed away.  She had had Alzheimer's for
about 5 years and had been slowly going downhill.  In some ways it was a
relief that she was out of her suffering, but it's always hard to "let Mom
go".  Her Dad had passed away last April so it was just her ...
Greeblings21 Mar 2004 02:39 GMT4
Does anyone know if there was a prior reference to greeblings
than an old "National Lampoon" article?  It concerned a young tomcat
who chased greeblings, but also swice (sweece?) and gazoon.  I forget
which one did which, but one of them spun dust bunnies under furniture
Home invasion21 Mar 2004 01:02 GMT29
At 6 am while I was still sleeping, someone broke into my house.  It was a
big man.  No, it was a very big man.  He stormed up the staircase,
thundering, shaking the walls.  He stormed toward my bedroom as I cowered in
fear under my blanket.  He jumped on the bed and pinned me down ...
Pea to the rescue!21 Mar 2004 00:53 GMT3
Max gets a little carried away sometimes when he's playing.  This morning he
went too far while chasing Emily, and actually had her backed into a corner.
Emily started hissing, which brought Pea running into the room.  Pea pounced
on Max and bit him (!), allowing Emily to make her ...
A Real Scare20 Mar 2004 21:42 GMT7
My daughter is a single mom and lives is a not wonderful neighborhood.  They
have had break-ins, gang problems with one neighbor, etc.
She got a burglar alarm a couple of months ago, and tries to remember to use
it.
Purrs for Oberon20 Mar 2004 18:44 GMT30
My friend's cat Oberon is very sick - he suddenly lost weight and got
listless and wouldn't eat. He's been in the animal hospital for a few
days, getting biopsies on various suspicious spots (on x-rays) and
internal sores. The vets think he has cancer, but no conclusions yet.
food inspector20 Mar 2004 18:37 GMT17
Sam has turned into the family food inspector. We've been feeding the
kitties on the kitchen table since Toby and Mac had to be put on diets.
Their meager portions have both ravenous all day, and we couldn't keep
them out of the cat's food unless we put it out of reach. Hence the ...

I got rid of my husband.   The cat was allergic.
Have I gone to far?19 Mar 2004 20:21 GMT14
Okay, went shopping this weekend...  must have had cats on the brain (perhaps
the mothership had some hand in that) and think I may have purchased too many
things with cats on them.  LOL.
I and now the very proud owner of:
