Update on Purrs for a Hoomin - not good news26 Mar 2004 16:33 GMT10
If you remember I asked for purrs for my son's teacher's husband who was
diagnosed with stomach cancer earlier this month.  I'm very sorry to say
that the most they can do for him is give him some experimental drugs as the
disease has progressed too far for surgery or chemo.  But I ...
For the Humor Comittee (OT)26 Mar 2004 15:19 GMT7
An Indian walked into a psychiatrist's office and says, "Doc, I keep
having these wierd dreams. One night I dreamed I was a teepee, the next
night I dreamed I was a wigwam. What do you think they mean?"
The shrink thought it over and said, "It means you're too tense."
Nermalee UPDATE26 Mar 2004 08:14 GMT4
She had an EKG and it showed a normal heart beat for a while then a long
"jag downward" says mom. They gave her Enacard 1/2 mg (she is so tiny the
vet only wanted to try that first). They said renal readings were actually a
bit better than the last time (and they are not bad at all ...

Just wondering if anyone here has tried this company, or any of the
other online pet pharmacy?
The reason I'm asking is that someone here, don't remember who,
mentioned the group alt.med.veterinary recently. I discovered it's

Have been preoccupied, about a week, just skimming rpca. Have even whipped
the Evil 3 into a frenzy of nerves here, even porker short furry people that
they are, all of us anxiously awaiting word from Denver on imminent arrival
of my first barekitten there.....early today - St. ...
Bravery Thwarted26 Mar 2004 05:02 GMT1
ROFL - and you know where laughing @ them gets you w/ cats - it's a very
blustery (high wind gusts), rainy (off and on) altogether *nasty* evening
here in - heh - our Sunshine State;
I had gone out on porch to retrieve and right the set of black iron cats
MEMO TO THE FAMILY DOG (s) & CAT (s)26 Mar 2004 04:20 GMT2
Dear Dog and Cat,
When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with
each other so there are still two of you in the way.
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other
Reactions to Videos for Cats26 Mar 2004 01:53 GMT4
I'd be interested in reading the experiences of those who have one of
those videos  made to entertain cats.  I bought the DVD version of one
called "Cat Sitter" a while back and it's kind of a hoot to observe
Kona and Sabastian watching it.  They both think it's interesting,

Cat with Kidney Stones25 Mar 2004 20:13 GMT10
My 13 year old kitty was just diagnosed with Kidney stones (calcium
oxalate) and the vet says there is nothing we can do about it. She says
that the only treatments available  are in the States, we live in Canada.
I'm hoping for some advice on what to do to keep my girl comfortable ...
Snowball reaches 125 Mar 2004 20:10 GMT10

Well, despite my pathetic rearing skills, Snowball the Ragdoll has
survived to celebrate his first birthday today. 2 new pics have been
added accordingly to the album "Snowball's Adolescence" at the URL
NOT a good way to wake up25 Mar 2004 19:47 GMT5
Greetings...
At about 6:05 AM I awake to the death cries of a kitty.  My immediate
reaction is to do a furry head count.
1. Beauregard on my left...OK.
THE "DEED" HAS BEEN "DUN!"25 Mar 2004 19:11 GMT6
First of all, I must tell you that The Kitten Formerly Known As
"Destiny" (that is her legal name, the one she uses at the bank and with
the IRS!) is now known as "Jazzi"  -- as in Jazzicatkitten, Jazzigirl
and Jazzipants!
Get out of bed now!25 Mar 2004 18:17 GMT26
We have a small fish tank in the bedroom, with an eclipse top (it's a
plastic unit that has filter and lights built-in). It's not particularly
strong plastic, so we've trained the cats not to jump on it. The're
pretty good at staying off of it. Except Fez. In the mornings. When ...
