Wide awake!08 Mar 2004 02:36 GMT2
Vino's been wide awake again all morning and afternoon.  It wasn't the
excitement of Chocolate cat that was keeping him up because Vino's bored of
him already anyway.  But I just figured out what it is that's keeping him
up.  He licked my bowl with cappuccino yoghurt again!  Even ...
It must be Spring07 Mar 2004 22:38 GMT32
Lacey has been running and jumping and playing with wild abandon lately.
She is such a funny cat whom it appears has an imaginary friend.  She
chases her friend and runs from it and sometimes she just stalks her
friend.  We aren't sure exactly what her friend looks like but she ...

I hope this link works for yous to see this way to cute kitten.  My office
assistant is bringing this sweet girl home tomorrow and she can't think of a

Rufous picture07 Mar 2004 22:29 GMT22
In the mornings Rufous likes following me around. While I sit in front
of the computer, he usually climbs to the top of the armoir that houses
it. Today he was looking particularly cute, so I took a couple of
pictures. Here's the best one:
Okay, that trip is maybe much sooner than I thought...07 Mar 2004 17:00 GMT6
I have no one to pet-sit for Persia, but might be able to get my brother to
watch her as well as Peaches (the lovebird).  This is assuming I can teach
him to keep the garage door closed after he pulls the car in while he brings
in his groceries...
RIP Black Tom07 Mar 2004 13:01 GMT18
I was out this morning talking with a neighbor. When Rocky came up to
greet us I mentioned that it had been awhile since I'd seen the tuxedo
tom cat which has been a regular to my outdoor food bowl. That's when
I learned that a cat had been killed crossing the busy 4 lane road two
Purrs for farm cat07 Mar 2004 12:37 GMT36
I buy our vegetables at an organic farm here in Austin. They have a cute
13 year old black cat called Tubby J. Tupelo who has the run of the farm
and likes to come to the farm stand for scritches (check out the
t-shirts http://www.boggycreekfarm.com/).
antifreeze warning07 Mar 2004 08:11 GMT41
I was reading Dr. Fox's veterinary column in the Washington Post and he had
a question about allowing dogs to drink out of public fountains in the
winter. Apparently some places put antifreeze in the water to keep the
fountain from freezing up.  It had never occurred to me that that ...
Okay, so Mike's *not* feeling better07 Mar 2004 03:51 GMT54
We had several good days when the Tapazole seemed to have worked a
miracle, and Mikey was his old self again.  But yesterday he was
awfully droopy; he wouldn't eat, he threw up several times, and all he
wanted to do was curl up in a room by himself.  It got worse all day.
Weird cat fetishes07 Mar 2004 01:51 GMT23
Willow loves:
- Hearing silver paper being scrunched up into a tiny ball for her to
chase
- Me whistling
So, this morning it was sleeting...07 Mar 2004 01:09 GMT1
...this afternoon it's sunny, a tad cool but comfy... and Persia is looking
at the squirrels outside my [home] office window.  I know if I run to get
the camera she will move from her pose... so let's just say she's got that
*intense* look in her big green eyes and she's hunkered ...
You move you lose06 Mar 2004 23:56 GMT18
There I was, relaxing in the recliner watching the news, when Rocky
came to the door and announced he was ready to come inside. Since
Little Bit was napping on the raised footrest, I had to be careful
getting out of the chair, but managed to get up and open the door for
Here I was thinking Spring...06 Mar 2004 23:09 GMT1
Persia has one of those 'kitty walk' mesh enclosures on the patio and she
loves it.  It's been warming up the last few days so I thought perhaps I
might put her out there today.  Well guess what?  It's sleeting!  So much
for Persia enjoying the kitty walk today.  (sigh)
Houdini kitten at it again?06 Mar 2004 20:05 GMT2
Since our kitties are all quite fond of spending time in the back yard,
we have a cat flap in the back door. It's got a little control knob that
allows us to set it to allow the kitties to pass through freely, exit
the house only, enter the house only, or lock it closed ...
