Weeble the Guard-cat!16 Mar 2004 01:47 GMT13
Monday, we got our tax refund check in the mail, so yesterday I took a quick
trip to the nearby ATM to deposit it.  In the 5-10 minutes I was gone,
Weeble had defended the house from a marauding 1/2 roll of paper towel &
left it to die a horribly lonely death in the middle of the ...
Update on Tubby15 Mar 2004 21:04 GMT19
The results are in, it's not cancer!!!! It's a fungal infection that can
be fatal though. He's on Itraconazole, one tablet a day for the next few
months. He hates the pills and each one costs $5.
I'm just so very happy it's not cancer.
Purrs Again for Biskit15 Mar 2004 15:59 GMT32
This poor cat just can't get a break.
I took her in to be spayed and the vet called and said he'd found a tumor
before starting the surgery. I told him to go ahead and remove it or whatever
needed to be done. I haven't heard a progress report yet this a.m.
Hi from Stinky15 Mar 2004 15:30 GMT25
My cat Stinky and I have lurked here awhile, and would just like to
say hello.  Stinky is a big B/W cat with a pink nose, and he's
thirteen years young.  Favorite things include:
Squeezing himself into shoeboxes;
Copycat15 Mar 2004 09:00 GMT2
A four-year-old girl has learned the hard way that being a copycat is
seldom a good idea.
It seems that the girl tried to do as her cat does and climb through the
cat door.
Guiness book of world records nomination: cat won't eat fish15 Mar 2004 03:37 GMT13
OK, so maybe it isn't really that rare, but it surprised me.  I had a
tin of sardines as part of my supper a couple of nights ago, and
offered one of the sardines to Cinders.  Rather to my surprise, she
sniffed it politely, but declined to eat it.  The sardines were
Monkeys we like...15 Mar 2004 03:26 GMT14
Dusty and I have been just fascinated at how big our Sea Monkeys have grown.  We
emptied the packet into the water the day after Christmas and they have grown to
be quite the happy little community.  Lots of teeny, tiny babies too!  Dusty
loves to watch them swim in their little ...
motel cat named Gato15 Mar 2004 01:22 GMT10
Four days into a five-day trip we took this week, Jim and I were having
severe Rosie and Cinder withdrawal pangs.  Curled up in a flower pot outside
the door to the motel where we stopped for that night was a disheveled
long-haired tabby cat.
it's a mystery!15 Mar 2004 00:40 GMT9
Our cats are very well behaved, and would never dream of doing anything
which they know is unacceptable to their hoomins.
So why do I keep finding little kitty paw prints on the kitchen counter?

I wasn't doin' nuffin'!14 Mar 2004 14:23 GMT3
Buster was outside.
Suddenly, I hear the "I will protect my food bowl to the death!"
yowling that happens when the big fluffy yellow cat shows up. Sure
enough, I look through the window, and see Big Fluffy outside, just
Chocolate cat getting annoying14 Mar 2004 09:02 GMT19
This new cat in the neighbourhood, I call him Chocolate because that's the
colour he is all over, is getting really annoying.  He comes to the house
every day and every night.  He sits on the patio in front of the window and
meows his fool head off.
Cuteness at PetSmart14 Mar 2004 08:21 GMT1
I'm watching the cats in the cages at PetSmart.
One cat in the top cage has a satin, leopard-spotted stuffed snake,
that is about three feet long, and has a flat, shoestring tail at the
end. He is going to town on the head of this snake, which is hanging
Purrs much needed14 Mar 2004 06:28 GMT19
Thankfully our health is fine here but... We ran into a slight (BIG)
construction problem. One of our walls wobbles. It's not a support wall,
in fact they pulled it out to rebuild again because the first time they
threw it up, it was only to build one part. Sorta like, they had to
My heat source!14 Mar 2004 00:02 GMT1
I'm lying on the bed, Little Feet curled up under my left arm this
time (he was under my right arm). I'm petting him and skritching his
ears. He's purring lightly, and dozing.
Buster is inside somewhere, but realizes that I am not within sight,
Happy cat and grumpy squirrel13 Mar 2004 22:12 GMT12
In my new apartment, I have an enclosed patio with high fences (my
catbuddy RJ has no front claws -- due to his former owner).
So now, RJ loves to go out and sit comfy on the patio and sniff the
scents. And now, since I've been here for a couple months, there's
