| Hints | 17 Feb 2004 11:19 GMT | 3 |
Tonight while I was standing at the stove cooking supper, DH walked up to me and thanked me for doing something-or-other. I replied "I gotta take care of my Dave," and after a few seconds I felt a little head bonking into the back of my leg, clearly saying "Me Too!". Of course,

| Pussykins RIP | 17 Feb 2004 09:28 GMT | 28 |
Pussykins, at the age of nearly 21, was pushed gently into "cat heaven" by our vet today. She had not been eating for nearly ten days and the vet finaly said that she had nothing left to offer her. We agreed to give her the "final" injection and terminate her suffering. I felt such

| Update on my friend whose house burned down | 17 Feb 2004 09:17 GMT | 7 |
I posted a week or so ago about a friend of mine in TX who needed purrs because her house had been destroyed by an arsonist. I've got an update on her situation. Her house *was* completely destroyed, and everything was lost. She did

| More purrs, please! | 17 Feb 2004 09:02 GMT | 38 |
Something just isn't right about this cat. Even though the vet pronounced her in relatively good shape, I just don't think he's right. She is too mopey, too lethargic. He did give her the first round of vaccinations and wormed her, so I'm going to wait a bit, since she is eating

| Compounding Pharmacy | 17 Feb 2004 03:08 GMT | 6 |
I get regular promotional e-mails from Doctors Foster & Smith, and I got one today that said they have a compounding pharmacy. They listed several yummy flavors (liver, mmmm good) but what impresed me the most, though I would imagine all meds can't be done this way, is that

| [BW] OT: Something else to worry about | 16 Feb 2004 22:01 GMT | 7 |
As long as I was out taking pictures today, I discovered that some of the local trees have been protesting the never ending roadwork around the university. They have surrounded themselves with bright orange webbing (they can't

| Hey, wake up in there! | 16 Feb 2004 19:13 GMT | 8 |
More on Buster's "ild childs". Last night, we were sitting in the living room, watching television, and enjoying the light dusting of pre-snow freezing drizzle as it drifted down.

| Thank you! (was purr and prayer request that the doctor is wrong - November 2003) | 16 Feb 2004 14:27 GMT | 17 |
Thank you to all of you wonderful people for your purrs and prayers. After almost 3 months the doctors finally have diagnosed my son's medical problems. It's GALL BLADDER disease. Grrrrrrrr! Why couldn't they have found the problem back in November instead of

| Thinking ahead... | 16 Feb 2004 11:00 GMT | 40 |
I have not travelled anywhere since well before 9/11 and well before Persia demanded I take her in. I'm thinking of taking a trip for a week in May and already I'm worrying over what to do with her. Persia hates other cats. She gets all puffy and bristly tailed just seeing

| DESTINY??? | 16 Feb 2004 09:54 GMT | 11 |
We are now almost three weeks into our life with this adorable, strong-minded, willful, destructive, affectionate, gorgeous little lady. The only problem we have, since she has been declared healthy and able to join the cat society (beside picking up broken shards here and

| Lousy time for dead batteries | 16 Feb 2004 09:42 GMT | 29 |
This is the one thing I really hate about digital cameras - the batteries die at the worse time. Tonight, Buster wanted to go outside. He sat and stared at the door, meowed at me to let him out, and leaned towards the door when I picked

| Thank you | 16 Feb 2004 09:30 GMT | 9 |
Thank you everyone for your kind words. It was a tough night last night, I didn't sleep much. I kept remembering watching poor Max get run over by the truck. Your words of encouragement have helped me feel a little better today.

| Buster, the protecter | 16 Feb 2004 09:22 GMT | 5 |
As I've mentioned, Buster has been keeping lookout as the local wildlife eats catfood outside our front door. A few nights ago, things got even more interesting. Senyah came to tell me that it sounded like a cat fight was starting

| The Office Cats | 16 Feb 2004 07:10 GMT | 25 |
As I'd mentioned before, at the end of 2003 I'd quit my job to be able to work full-time with my DH in his office. What this means, aside from no longer having a regular paycheck <g>, is that I get to spend lots more time with the office cats, Ozzy and Tiger.

| Baby news cont. | 16 Feb 2004 05:13 GMT | 5 |
No, still not mine. My niece's Russian Blue, Kira, had her kittens during last night. She had five of them, which is apparently a lot for a RB. Usually they seem to get two or three kittens per litter. I'm dying to see them, but will wait until next weekend, when everyone's ...
