Major purrs needed25 Jan 2004 19:07 GMT34
A good friend of mine in Texas is in need of some major purrs. This lady
owns a ranch where she has been raising horses and cattle, raising an
orphaned wolf pup and a rescued wolf/dog hybrid, operating a prairie dog
sanctuary, and caring for 3 kitties - 2 kittens and an adult. ...
Too cold25 Jan 2004 18:51 GMT59
Hi all. It's too cold here! Right now it's -1F with expected high of 4F
changing to -5 by early evening. Not to mention the flurries and lake effect
snow. <SIGH>. I was supposed to work today but called the boss and requested
a jail break, which he summarily approved!

From  http://www.netpets.com/cats/reference/info/cathistory.html

for the cat: cat, chat, cattus..."
However "kitty" is a Chinese word In fact, there is Moo-goo-gai-kitty with
Odd position our cat Cinnamon on the couch25 Jan 2004 15:19 GMT2
Picture in a.b.p.animals
What happened was that there was someone sitting there, and Cinnamon was
partly lap fungus and partly on the chair arm.  Well, had to get up, but
Cinnamon just extended his back legs to maintain his position....

The things we do 25 Jan 2004 13:58 GMT6
The things we do for the sake our cats....
The old washing machine has been on its last legs for quite some time, and
we figured that we'd better get a properly working one before the baby
turned up, lest this one finally gave up the ghost in the middle of a hige
Update on Smudge, the feral kitty25 Jan 2004 09:37 GMT7
Several months ago I wrote about a white feral cat that was making her home
on my balcony.  I had named her "Smudge" because she had one sooty mark on
her forehead.  She was eventually trapped by a wonderful lady, Penny of
"Forgotten Felines", and was spayed, inoculated, and tamed ...
Baby news25 Jan 2004 07:50 GMT12
No, not mine. :o) My niece with the Blue Russians is breeding her girlcat
Kira (actually, she will become my niece's girlcat after she has had these
kittens, my niece has only been a sort of foster mum so far). Kira went to
Tallinn in Estonia to meet the father-to-be. Here are some ...
Persia gets surprised25 Jan 2004 04:01 GMT5
You ever see that "Oh crap!" look on a cats face?  (Then, of course, they
try to deny it.)  Persia got that look on her face yesterday.  She walked up
while I was in the bathroom shaving my legs.  Wondered what on earth was
that lather stuff?  So she sniffed and got some on her nose ...
Burma Pictures OT25 Jan 2004 03:43 GMT15
Ok, I've got some new pictures up.  They are of my recent trip to Burma.
Dare I post them here?  No freakin' flames this time, or I'll loooooooose
it!  (Said in a most menacing manner ;-)  The link is
http://tinyurl.com/37dzv and they are the last 23 pictures in the album.
I'm back (for a moment)25 Jan 2004 03:39 GMT7
Howdy everyone,
I have been sooooo busy lately, lots going on in real life.  I have only read
like the first 4 or 5 posts that pop up on my newsreader. :(  Just can't get
caught up.  I was on vacation over New Years and when I came back,......  holy
Selena to the vet again25 Jan 2004 02:51 GMT36
<sigh> While brushing her last night I realized that her 'hot spot' had
erupted again and was actually bleeding a little so we're off to the vet
for a steroid shot this afternoon.  Is there anyone else with a cat who
suffers allergies which manifest themselves with a single 'hot ...
Girls will never be boys...24 Jan 2004 18:14 GMT3
As you all should know by now, I have got a Devon Rex mother and her son
living with me.
The boy, Teti, has grown into a fine young man, 14 months old. He is a cool,
in all orders predictable cat, and we communicate very well. He is perfectly
