| Back from Burma (long) OT | 03 Jan 2004 19:58 GMT | 55 |
Well, I'm back from Burma, the most different place I've ever been. And I've been to many countries! I got to Yangon on the evening on the 21st and did nothing but check into the hotel at the airport and go to sleep. The next morning I had to get up

Its been cold here in Vegas, actually snowed inches a couple of days ago. Generally one of the cats will sleep with me. Sometimes its Maya, but usually its Bruiser. Once Maya and Bruiser go to sleep they usually stay where there all night and generally Maya goes to bed first. ...

She's been staying close to the house since she came back, and being very sweet to me. Thanks a lot to everyone, once again, for the purrs & prayers. My own pain is calming down slowly.

| Happy Birthday/Anniversary to Persia! | 03 Jan 2004 13:13 GMT | 9 |
We don't really know how old she is; the vet guessed based on her teeth 2-3 years when I was enslaved. Being a woman, I went with the younger of the two :) I therefore proclaimed her birthday, and certainly the anniversary of when

| Hi from an old friend | 03 Jan 2004 08:09 GMT | 20 |
2003 has been one heckuva poopy year. I am hoping against hope that 2004 will bring with it MUCH better things. For all of us. I am so sad to hear the news about Di. Things for me are... well, they just are. :)

| Friends at last | 03 Jan 2004 06:10 GMT | 6 |
About six months ago, I adopted two adult cats, Cinders and Katie. They had belonged to a friend of a friend, who had moved to France to attend graduate school and couldn't take her cats along. Katie made friends with me almost immediately, but Cinders was scared of me. My

Okay, I understand parents love their children. I really do. This person posted on another ng about the family cat getting into his/her grandchild's crib when the baby was not in it. So to correct this problem they set mouse traps in the crib. Albeit, upside down, but we're ...

| meowmie, the hoomin mattress | 02 Jan 2004 23:28 GMT | 14 |
I stretched out on the sofa for a little afternoon nap, and Emily immediately claimed "her" spot on my lap (is it still a "lap" when one is lying down?) Then Max hopped up by my feet and curled up between my ankles. I was just nodding off when Pea climbed on to my chest and settled ...

| A cat of a different color | 02 Jan 2004 20:19 GMT | 7 |
Friday night we finally hit the sack. As is usual, Little Feet made three turns, and cuddle up above my head, and against Senyah's pillow. I petted him until I fell asleep. Senyah woke up before I did, so she got up and made her breakfast.

| Lizard in the dryer | 02 Jan 2004 18:09 GMT | 4 |
I was doing some laundry (yes, folks, you read that right!) and opened the dryer to put a load of clothes in. But there was a little lizard in there! Guess it would stain my clothes if I just put them in there and turned it on. Better get the lizard out first. I tried chasing it ...

| The Art Of The Stalk | 02 Jan 2004 13:57 GMT | 10 |
I'm up now, with nothing more than a lung infection to overcome. While I was in bed, I got the chance to do some cat observation between fever dreams. I noticed a lot about the art of stalking, as practiced by various members of the Feline Mafia.
