Bird in basement11 Jan 2004 19:40 GMT2
The other morning the cats were hanging around the basement door and trying
to look under it. They are not allowed down there as we use the basement as
a work shop. HD says to Abby, Do you want to see what's down there and picks
her up. He opens the door and there is a bird flying ...
Speaking of strings...11 Jan 2004 19:22 GMT4
I had bought a new shirt. The only problem with it was that it had some
stupid strings at the cuffs. I took them out and was going to bin them, but
then realised they had great cat toy potential. Nikki does quite like the
String Monster, but Frank goes positively wild when he sees ...
"Bad kitty" warnings?11 Jan 2004 17:59 GMT3
When our kitties decide to "become bad" and "get" us, we know that
they usually turn sideways and hunch up, or as my friend calls it,
becoming a "witch kitty".
Then they will likely run and paw at us, then dash off into the other
Waffles update11 Jan 2004 15:43 GMT39
Her Majesty finally deigned to pee in the special cat litter that makes it easy
to collect a sample from. I zoomed said sample straight down to TED.
Waffles has no signs of crystals or infection in her urine
BUT
Can you purr for John please?11 Jan 2004 09:36 GMT33
He's got a kidneystone and it's hurting him :( The kitties are being
good little kittynursemaids - when he got home from the hospital the
other day they all curled up around him and purred their hearts out to
make him feel better... but the purrs must need reinforcements because
Bathtime blunders11 Jan 2004 06:40 GMT10
You know how we catslaves believe that our owners are these
scintillating & sparkling intellects that have us spellbound in
servitude?
Something happened that makes me begin to suspect that my Snowball the
Oh yummy food11 Jan 2004 06:34 GMT3
Yesterday I picked up a package of baked brie and proschuitto (butchered
that spelling).
Oh.. My... One must look for this fantastic cheese wrapped in pastry.
Not many foods still have the ability to make me wiggle and curl into a
Francis the home decorator11 Jan 2004 05:15 GMT8
My downstairs loo is in the process of being redecorated by Vernon. The
wallpaper has been stripped and the walls prepared for a new covering of
wallpaper. For once, Vernon has read the instructions (gasp!) and the wallpaper
instructions say the wallpaper, once pasted, needs to be ...
Touchstone Christmas11 Jan 2004 02:57 GMT7
Just want to wish all the RPCA furkids had a Merry Kissmouse, and that
Sandy Claws brought all the treats and toys your hearts could desire.
Hope the hoomins had a good time, too.
Also want to thank all her sent cards, treats, and fur for Sammy to
Purrs requested for Creampuff  --  and for his sad owners11 Jan 2004 00:48 GMT24
Creamy is getting worse (cancer spreading) and we will most probably not
have him much longer.   He eats very little and continues to lose
weight.   His Dr. can feel indications of his problem, which she could
not do before today's visit.
New England Visit10 Jan 2004 19:48 GMT9
I am returning to Woburn, Massachusetts, leaving Florida Saturday, Jan 10,
to care for my mother who has Parkinson's Disease.  I did this last
September and October also.
Are there any RPCAer's who would like to get together and swap stories and
Has anyone used Stain Buddy to get up their pet stains?10 Jan 2004 19:29 GMT6
I know I sound like a commercial but.........
I have used everything; Natures Miricle, stuff from the store. but I
bought a product called Stain Buddy off of QVC and it is the best
stuff I have ever used.  Has anyone else tried this?
Bonnie - Noses and Fingers10 Jan 2004 14:53 GMT4
Bonnie has made a new discovery.   I have an interesting nose and a
whole heap of fingers.   If people selfishly cover up their toes a kitty
has to look elsewhere for diversions - right!
She made the discovery last evening.   She jumped up on my chest as I
Emily's Mischief Quotient10 Jan 2004 05:30 GMT22
We don't know about her I.Q., but our little grey brat-cat Emily's M.Q.
(Mischief Quotient) is very high. We've already told  you about other
manifestations of this part of Emily's  nature, such as short-circuiting our
house's telephone system (twice), dumping our stereo system on ...
RJ moves to a new pad10 Jan 2004 05:14 GMT1
Well, it's been 1 week and my big orange fuzzbuddy "RJ" is becoming
adjusted to his new apartment.
RJ is still looking for "his window" which has mysteriously
disappeared. But in lieu of this, he now has a private fenced patio to
