Chuckles (OT)24 Dec 2003 08:52 GMT12
Most of you probably remember Chuckles, the little red doxie we got
from GraceCat last year. He was a small pooch when we got him, and he's
remained small, perhaps 13 lbs. or so.
Chuckles has always been a slow-moving, laid-back hound, turning big,
Way OT - recent bug discussion24 Dec 2003 07:36 GMT3
There was a thread recently that sort of degenerated into discussing
bugs (again!) and I'd mentioned that I'd lived in a place where there
were big roaches that smelled just awful.  Thinking about these weird
and horrible little monsters made me finally get around to looking
To Chew or not to Chew24 Dec 2003 07:26 GMT9
I am eating supper and the cats take turns on the window ledge and my
shoulders begging for roast beef.If i am busy cutting fat or gristle,
I sometimes take a half-chewed piece out of my mouth for Amber. He
likes it fine ; he can swallow it sooner and get more. But I just
What causes a kitty to become a licker?24 Dec 2003 05:00 GMT8
Ever since my Lynxie was a little tiny itty bitty microscopic ball of
puff, he's had this obsession with licking my hands. Anytime I put my
hands near his muzzle, he'd start licking. He used to do it pretty
obsessively, too. Sometimes he'd play rough and bite, then lick lick
Update on Sheba24 Dec 2003 04:53 GMT3
I heard from the vet today. He said the specialist wants Sheba to stay
insulin-free for 30 days and then do another glucose curve. In the
meantime i am to keep her on her diet regimen and be alert for any
signs of diabetes like excessive drinking, urinating,,,
A Tender Moment24 Dec 2003 01:31 GMT9
Now, Cosmo is our cat who came to us nine years ago shortly after
Christmas.  He is getting older, and has a heart murmur and chronic
renal failure.  He is on a special diet, and sometimes, I will feed
him an extra meal late at night if he is hungry, as it is good for him
Where are they now?24 Dec 2003 00:49 GMT11
Just wondering ... has anyone heard from Flea in a while?
And some while ago, we had a poster (Ari? Adi?) with two newish kitties,
Dude and Layla.  How did things go there?
Just wondering ....

Gizmos Present to Me...and PHOTOS23 Dec 2003 22:42 GMT6
I awoke to let Gizmo out of the bathroom this morning (since she likes to
urinate on things, she's safer in there when we're asleep).....to discover
she'd left me a present, next to the shower, right where I had to step....a
nice brown present complete with cat hair, carpet and ...
New Pics of The Dust23 Dec 2003 22:36 GMT10
Now I have been talking of how skinny Dusty is getting.  You would never know
this by these recent photos.  He still looks like a chunk, until you pet him
that is.  Then it's "Bone Daddy".
He is still cute and fluffy.  The first pick was taken about a week into his eye

A question (or questions) for Ozzies23 Dec 2003 21:31 GMT13
I have just consumed my first Cadbury Yowie, thanks to the wonders of
Internet shopping.  The chocolate was delicious, but I am puzzled about
what I found inside.  The yowie was hollow, and inside was a small
plastic barrel-shaped object.  Each end is pierced with several holes,
Cards23 Dec 2003 19:13 GMT6

I never signed up for the Holiday Card list, this year or last when I
joined your family.  I've never been good with cards and I didn't want to
take on something I couldn't follow through with.
I sit here in tears tonight reading my mail. I asked my parents along
