Only eight days after Pam posted her report of the event... I've finally extracted digit and posted the pictures I took (along with the other snaps of my all-too-brief stay in the US of A). They're here:

| Pills & Meds | 01 Dec 2003 16:19 GMT | 3 |
It's interesting to read how many different ways there are to medicate our kitties - and their reactions. Hobo will take pilling just fine the first couple of days, then goes into tornado mode. He's OK with the liquids. Speckles takes to pills easier.

| Nikki got me | 01 Dec 2003 11:30 GMT | 17 |
Nikki nearly managed to give me a heart attack just now. I was in the bathroom for my morning ablutions, when I heard Nikki going uh-uh-uh-uh somewhere in the flat. This sound usually means she is going to throw up. I prepared myself to clean up the mess. Suddenly she started going ...

| UPDATE. Hugo Katt a little better. | 01 Dec 2003 10:55 GMT | 17 |
When he got home Tuesday evening Hugo Katt had been hurt, I don't know how. Since then he has just lain on his side under a big table, playing dead cat. He has eaten nothing. I could not pick him up as he hurt. It was quite a relief to see the tip of his tail lashing, so I knew he ...

| Persia the cheese thief | 01 Dec 2003 10:55 GMT | 2 |
Persia has always been very good about not jumping on tables. Uh, until this morning. I toasted an English muffin and added a couple of thin slices of smoked turkey and a slice of cheese; nuked this in the microwave a few seconds to heat the turkey and melt the cheese. I had this ...

| Losing Two Cats in a Short Time? I Hope Not. | 01 Dec 2003 09:41 GMT | 55 |
In September I lost my Manx kitty Banana Simian to a virulent form of cancer. Folks here were quite supportive. My big orange tabby Moe Lester has had a really high breathing rate for some time - a constant 100 or 110, even when sleeping, and I finally ran him in to

| Purrs please | 01 Dec 2003 06:18 GMT | 25 |
Most of you don't know me because I only lurk here, but I would like to ask for some purrs for my father. My mom came home a few minutes ago, after having been gone all day and she told me the following news:

| Waaah, he's gone again :-( | 01 Dec 2003 03:10 GMT | 4 |
Well, Dennis is gone again for the next 6 weeks. He left on Thursday afternoon. Seems like his 6 weeks off go by way faster than his 6 weeks working... Vino already misses him and Dennis misses Vino. This new work schedule is

| Poor Francis | 01 Dec 2003 03:01 GMT | 5 |
The hoomins disappeared for all of Saturday, only to reappear in the wee hours (2.30am Sunday morning to be exact) as having been over to Manchester Velodrome - Nathan on a track skills session in the morning, and watching a track meet in the evening (2 world champs on track plus ...

| Cat musician figurines | 01 Dec 2003 02:26 GMT | 12 |
When I was in Brussels, I saw a number of beautifully detailed statuettes of cats playing musical instruments. Unfortunately the cheapest I saw cost about $150, which was considerably more than I could afford! When I was at my hairdressers a few months ago, his manicurist
