Adventures in Babysitting  By Sammy08 Dec 2003 21:33 GMT2
We had a sort of strange day around the Touchstone house today. The
nice lady upstairs came by yesterday and asked our hoomin if she could
leave her new baby here today while she was at that strange place
hoomins call "work". The hoomin asked about the baby, and she said it

I just got back from the store.  I bought a peach faced love bird.  Persia
has been checking him out. The bird is going "Huh?" and the cat knows to
leave him alone.

(typical...she's like that at home too).
I pick her up at 4.00. I shall let you now how she gets on tomorrow. TED

3000V (considerably cheaper...but good).

Lester Is Home08 Dec 2003 02:00 GMT9
I showed up after my ride, arriving about 12:30.  The surgeon, due to her
scheduled office appointments, wasn't able to see Lester until 1 pm.  She
couldn't unclog the feeding tube either.  That meant a light anesthetic and
replacement of the tube, taking a couple hours, and so I ...

Last Hospital Update07 Dec 2003 22:13 GMT12
I am unsure what Magpie wrote, but I called her as soon as I was able to
talk without turning into a sobbing heap, well almost timed it right.  I
turned into one when I hung up.  THey pronounced her this morning at 10:45
am.  They had finished one of the tests that determined blood ...
Clavamox Question07 Dec 2003 21:46 GMT39
Does anyone here have experience with Clavamox?  Were there any
side-effects?  Natasha has been taking it for a little over 2 weeks
now, and in the last few days she's started drooling after pilling
(never happened before when she's been pilled), has little interest in
Lester Hits a Minor Snag07 Dec 2003 15:28 GMT11
I've been faithfully doing the nose-tube feedings for Lester every four hours.
Don't even mind getting up for the 2:30AM session.  I have him up to 11-12 cc.
without problems.
Went to do the 6:30PM feeding tonight and couldn't get any food in.  Put a
Poor Little Cat??07 Dec 2003 14:43 GMT14
It has been raining for the last few days here following a few days of *hot*
weather (33degC...normal summer temp for this area). On the hot days Gizmo
loves being anywhere she can get cool. On the rainy days she just wants to
be outside. This morning we weren't going to let her out ...

Lester - Bad News07 Dec 2003 11:39 GMT32
The question for Lester, besides the improbability of surviving the surgery
itself, which he obviously did, was whether the surgen was forced to remove
too much of the bile duct system for the cat to survive.  She thought it was
close, but knew it was iffy.
Dried beef07 Dec 2003 00:35 GMT10
I hadn't had dried beef in years, so the other day I got a package of slices
with groceries. Last night I sit down and open it up and *POOF*, I had 4
cats INSTANTLY on my chair. That stuff must have one powerful smell.
Anyway, I found that dried beef seriously kicks up my acid ...
