| Dusty is loosing a tooth! | 24 Nov 2003 03:03 GMT | 24 |
Egads, this cat is falling apart! Today one of his lower canine teeth just fell over. It is hanging out his mouth in a most snaggletooth kinda way. It doesn't seem to bother him. He let me touch it. I thought I might be able to pull it out but it didn't come out to easily. He ...

| Chatty Cat! | 24 Nov 2003 02:34 GMT | 10 |
Persia is being particularly chatty today; I don't know why. She keeps looking at me and uttering "Ow! Ow ow! MROW!" I follow her around, thinking maybe she'll give me some clue. Nope, can't be the food, she has plenty of that (although she is extra vocal in the kitchen). Nope, ...

| And another one | 24 Nov 2003 01:19 GMT | 45 |
A lot of cats and humans seem to be doing not so well. I'm afraid I have another one to add to the purr list. Nikki's asthma has been playing up, and all through the night she was wheezing so hard, while lying on my legs as usual, that this worried Meowmie got virtually no sleep. ...

| Emily and Max | 24 Nov 2003 01:19 GMT | 2 |
That little charmer Max is winning over the ornery Miss Emily. Emily left her spot (snuggled up by my side) at some point during the night, and Max claimed it. When Emily returned, I braced myself for the round of hissing and Max-bopping that was sure to follow.

| Bonnie - Forbidden Fruit | 24 Nov 2003 01:19 GMT | 4 |
Bonnie has tasted forbidden fruit twice this week and she likes it! She killed a sparrow chick on Monday and on Tuesday murdered a baby blackbird. The shutters have come down and the cat house has come into its own. The section is alive with the sound of cheeping chicks and

| Going Away | 24 Nov 2003 00:59 GMT | 7 |
Things have been rather tough these last few months with me as well as quite a few others here at RPCA's....I'll be running away for a few days....(not that I'll be missed)...figured I better do so or I might be the next person on "the grassy knoll" (if you USA er's get my drift... ...

| Computer Stupidities | 23 Nov 2003 23:45 GMT | 5 |
I am an expert at computer stupidities. When I read some of these I cringed with embarrassment all over again. My knowledge of RAM was a case in point, lol. http://rinkworks.com/stupid/

| Cats and Birds | 23 Nov 2003 21:41 GMT | 6 |
Not anew subject, I'm sure...sorry to repeat. Not that I see an answer, but ever since we, now I, have had cat(s), I've tried to feed/watch birds without making them targets. I don't feed birds now, and when Bert fetches a mouse/srew/etc I'm used to it. Funny,

| A contribution for the Pirate Ship | 23 Nov 2003 15:42 GMT | 14 |
I humbly (being only a hoomin) offer this song to those aboard the Good Ship Mouser. I hope that it meets with approval. For those who don't know the original tune, find someone who does rennaissance faires, SCA, or likes sea chanties. Odds on they *will* know this one.

| Welcome Rituals | 23 Nov 2003 04:54 GMT | 16 |
Does your master/mistress have a ritual for welcoming you home? Here's Natasha's ritual - Whenever I return home, especially after being gone for several hours, Natasha greets me at the door. She is rather vocal - rarrr rarrrr rarrrr. After greeting me, she heads

| Cute, but I've never taken a broom or a dust pan to them | 23 Nov 2003 04:49 GMT | 20 |
I sometimes wonder about cats. Some peoples cats hate vacuums but will play with the broom if you decide to sweep something up. My pair almost never hear the vacuum as I hate the sound almost as much as most cats. Indeed when I was a teenager my mother could drive me out of the

| Emily and Max | 23 Nov 2003 01:31 GMT | 6 |
As Mr Peabody reported earlier, he and Max are already best buds. Emily's been pretty good about the newcomer, reserving her hisses for when he attempts to get between her and her food dish, or when he comes up on the bed - mostly she keeps her distance, and he doesn't push his ...

| O & C - party tricks | 22 Nov 2003 23:45 GMT | 22 |
Had a friend of mine over for wine, cheese, black olive tapinade, and slow roasted tomatoes - and, unabashedly, used the cats to do party tricks. My friend is both a cat slave and a dog owner. She was amazed when the boys answered to their name and their name only. She was also ...
