Busy Thursday!27 Nov 2003 02:29 GMT1
By brother Pat has been raising turkeys for a few years. There aren't
many turkey growers in this area, so he's received a few visits from
newspapers over the years. Tomorrow, though, will be a first - he and
his birds will be on TV.
Happy Birthday, Cheryl s.27 Nov 2003 00:09 GMT24
Hi Cheryl,
trying to post this from google -- hope it works... many happy returns
of the day...a little feral cat told me that today, Thursday, Nov.

Gizmo Tablet Update26 Nov 2003 23:47 GMT2
Thanks for all the suggestions regarding administering tablets to cats.
Thankyou to Arthur for his suggestion which worked like a dream (the pill in
the mouth and blowing on eyes thing)....it has worked twice now (folowed by
a treat afterwards)...poor little thing doesn't know whats ...
Lester: Tuesday Progress26 Nov 2003 22:20 GMT6
Just got back from 40 minutes with the poor guy.
His last painkiller was at 4am this morning, and he was much more alert
tonight.  He still doesn't look very good, but was certainly less zonked out
than yesterday.  I could feel him, but not hear him, purring, and he seemed
Gizmo TED Report26 Nov 2003 22:13 GMT10
Well, I picked Gizmo up yesterday from TED.....they couldn't completely rule
out as UTI as she wouldn't pee for them either and because she'd eaten that
morning they couldn't sedate her to gt it out the other way (whatever that
is)....but the vet says she has abdominal tenderness ...
Lester: Monday Update26 Nov 2003 22:07 GMT26
Just talked to the surgeon.  Lester has violently resisted most attempts to
make him eat, meaning it's been about 6 days now.  They've stuck a tube
through his nose and are feeding some sort of high-caloric liquid.  The
assertion is that the tube is little more than a thread and ...
ATTN: LIZ!26 Nov 2003 22:03 GMT5
I saw you were taking a break, but I was seriously about to post this to
your attention.  I got your holiday card!  And Persia FREAKED over the
enclosed kitty fur.  Her eyes got HUGE, nose was twitching like a rabbit's
and she tried to bat the fur out of my hand.  Uh, I hope your ...
Pics: Nikki in the snow26 Nov 2003 22:00 GMT24
Well, we had a lot of snow yesterday, and today Nikki wanted to go for her
usual Sunday walkies. This time, I took the camera along. She doesn't seem
to mind the snow at all, she just plows ahead without that typical
one-step-shake-paw-second-step-shake-paw business, but she didn't ...
Northern VA cat sitter rec?26 Nov 2003 18:39 GMT2
Greetings fellow cat staff -
I'm trying to find some time to visit my parents in NY for Christmas,
and the person that usually can watch my fur kids may be unavailable.
I was wondering if anyone here from Northern Virginia, USA (around
Chrissy cards on their way!26 Nov 2003 18:35 GMT17
I just thought I'd pop out of lurking to say that the first half of my
catslaves Christmas cards hit the post office today... look out for
the little red santakitty in a mailbox near you :)
Now I have to sit down and make more cards so I can do the other half!
Gizmo is at TED26 Nov 2003 18:04 GMT11
Well, I left Gizmo at TED this morning (there is a vet here at work, I drop
her off at 8 and pick her up at 4 and the vet calls me over when she has her
consult). Naturally I felt sad leaving her over there but she didn't seem at
all perturbed. There was a white cat in the cage next ...
Bald ear26 Nov 2003 06:20 GMT17
Pearl's right ear had a very little bald spot earlier this week. Today it
has trippled in size. I will be taking her to the vet as soon as I can get
in this week. There is no scabbing or redness. I had not thought it was from
scratching because of that. I do think that ear is ...
Playing with 28 Kittens26 Nov 2003 01:52 GMT8
Took four friends and cameras out to Lois's place to-day.  There were
kittens climbing through pipes, scaling tall kitty trees, swooping
through cardboard boxes and brown paper bags and kittens climbing all
the interesting human trees.  Took a whole roll of photos - kitties are
"Getting rid" of a cat......25 Nov 2003 22:53 GMT37
I need to vent about this & I knew other cat lovers would understand....
My Father In Law has a new girlfriend & she had a gorgeous little tuxedo named
Patches that is 4 yrs old....
My Father in law is a cheap, manipulative, cat hating bastard! He told his
Pirate Cat Voyage  Update #625 Nov 2003 21:29 GMT23
Finally.  The fat wench has been extremely lax in posting our
adventures.  Her claims of seasickness, flu, typhoons, and hurricanes
are not good enough.  I'm going to either get a better hoomin, or teach
her another lesson.  It seems that following her around, staring at her,
