Yesterday Bonnie went missing!! When they are outside I check them regularly. FSP and Clyde were hanging around the door, dashing in and out - it was cold and raining slightly, hardly a nice day to be 'out'. We both kitty kittied all around the place, me getting more

| Bummer! I missed him! | 05 Nov 2003 08:37 GMT | 9 |
Today I drove to LAX to meet Dave Gerecke. Dave Yehudah had called the day before and said he might come too, but not if it rained, since he would be riding his motorcycle. It didn't rain, so he didn't come. At least I hope he didn't. I didn't see him, anyway.

Francis asked to be let out into the garden this morning, so as the weather is much nicer than yesterday, I duly acted the good cat slave & opened the door for him. About 20 mins later he meowed to be let in, so I duly opened the door for him...

| "lost" kitten purrs please? | 05 Nov 2003 04:28 GMT | 30 |
Little "Jaylo" the kitten is nowhere to be seen. Her meowmie called me a short while ago in a panic because she couldn't find the kitten and was terrified that kitty had gotten into the washing machine when she filled it earlier. I rushed down

| Melbourne Cup Day | 05 Nov 2003 01:23 GMT | 14 |
I was just wondering whether any none-Australians (as most of you probably are) have heard much about the Melbourne Cup.....it is huge here (in Oz)....I never bet on anything (as I always lose) but so far have spent $20 (through the TAB and on work sweeps)......

| there's a kitten in the house! | 05 Nov 2003 01:22 GMT | 5 |
Mr Peabody here. Meowmie and Paw went away for a week, and when they came home, Meowmie was carrying a strange bag with mesh windows. She set it down, and Emmy and I went over to give it a good sniffing. Imagine our surprise when that bag hissed at us! We both jumped about three ...

Thanks to everybody for all the purrs and purrayers for rain for Southern California. We got some rain and it has definitely helped. Some of the fires are completely contained, and some are partially so. Now, I need purrs for it not to rain tomorrow morning. I am driving 45

Geez. DH and I are both computer geeks (he being a geek-extrordinaire), yet this stupid box had us stumped this time! The other night I come into my puter to check the NG, surf, etc. Outlook Express and Adobe Photoshop are open. I click to open the browser and it says "Not enough ...

| What to say to a finicky cat (BW?) | 04 Nov 2003 18:42 GMT | 17 |
Well, my Dear Husband comes up with some good ones on occasion, and the other night was no exception. He hovers over the cats while they eat, making sure that each one gets the right food (since there are so many different diets around seven

Some cats bite when you pull their tails, some seem to like it. Why?

| I don't suppose | 04 Nov 2003 08:57 GMT | 9 |
Anyone would know why, when I walk into the living room and see three cats sitting around a cup of cold tea, with a television remote control in it, the cats all have expressions of "Nothing to do with us" on their furry faces??? Cheers, helen s

| one kitty adopted! | 04 Nov 2003 05:48 GMT | 9 |
One of my foster kittens was adopted today! Not the one I've been thinking of keeping (Rudy/Cooper, etc) - his brother, Jake. I have to admit I'd gotten pretty attached to Jake, too. It was a slower process because he's a lot more shy and less affectionate. But when

| The Night That The Lights Went Out in Ramah... | 04 Nov 2003 04:50 GMT | 12 |
I woke up Halloween morning to heavy gray fog and a coating of slick ice everywhere. The temperature was 26F. By noon the temp was 28F and it was still foggy and the ice was thicker. A breeze was coming up. By evening it was quite windy and the wind chill must have been near zero
