Aussie Warning about N.Z OT10 Nov 2003 00:07 GMT43
The 760,000 Aussies who visit N.Z. each year are being warned by the
Australian Government to be on the alert for earthquakes and thieves.
New Zealanders could be forgiven for thinking this a small risk against
those of killer snakes, spiders, dingoes, bushfires, sharks and
Purrs for ??????09 Nov 2003 23:47 GMT5
Whilst in Sydney I managed to visit one of my favourite pet shops (Chatswood
for those who know Sydney).....there was a delightful Cornish Rex cat
looking for somebody to adopt him. He is 2 years old, has beautiful grey fur
and needs a home. I spoke to the lady about him and she ...
The Stray Kitty.  (VERY LONG)09 Nov 2003 21:48 GMT25
Meet Jetson. He is a stray kitty.
A few months ago he started hanging around. He is a male, shorthair, mainly
white with tabby markings. I guess the three lovely girl kitties and one
handsome boy kitty that live here attracted him. We didn't want him to be
Fire in the fireplace09 Nov 2003 21:41 GMT3
It's chilly outside so I have a fire burning in the fireplace.  Persia is
absolutely fascinated.  I'm not sure why, since this isn't her first sight
of it.  But she hunches up in front of it like a big meatloaf and just
stares at the flames.  If one of the logs POP she jumps!  Then ...
myMSN says declawing is an option...09 Nov 2003 18:14 GMT8
... if your cat keeps on scratching things. Oh, and that they "removes only
the nails".  Is this ever true?  Doesn't it always take toe and cartiledge?
OK, I don't want to start anything, but I was disgusted by this article:

1. I have an exam next week and am stressing slightly about it. It's not
till Thursday but I am away this weekend and am not feeling that confident
yet. SO....any exam purrs would be appreciated...
FIre & The Missing Cat09 Nov 2003 15:33 GMT18
I called my ex-husband, Victor, recently (we are good friends still),
and he was in shock.  He had just found out a spark from a welder's
torch (they were working on the fire escape, of all ironies) had set
his apartment on fire.  Luckily, the fire department got there in a
Any jobpurr left?09 Nov 2003 15:26 GMT9
No use to say that the healthpurrs and the
catpurrs have absolute precedence.
But just in case you have a tiny jobpurr left... I
have an interview tomorrow afternoon.
Pics: Nikki and her whiskers09 Nov 2003 13:10 GMT14
Well, I haven't managed to snap any very good pics of Nikki's impressive
whiskers, but here's one that will give you an idea. They don't look nearly
as long and bushy as they do 'live'.

cat pictures up09 Nov 2003 07:54 GMT13
Well I have finally gotten a bunch of pictures up for each of our cats.
This morning I couldn't sleep so I got up at 6:30 and couldn't figure out
what to do with myself so I used Adobe's Photoalbum and got the cat up
online on our website.
new photos09 Nov 2003 05:41 GMT1
Since I'm currently being held captive at the computer by Max the lap
kitten, I've added a couple of photos to "Brenda's cats" at rpca_pictures.
Max's favorite toy is the "mouse bowl" - mouse on a wire inside a partially
covered bowl.  He loves batting at the mouse - and the other ...

Ok, so why has my computer suddenly decided to download about 4000
RPCA articles?  I have no idea which few are unread, of course.
I sometimes think computers are like women ....
Dave Gerecke's Dad08 Nov 2003 23:47 GMT17
I have been in e-mail correspondence with Dave since Tuesday.  I know a
lot of you have been purring for his Dad, so I have gotten permission
from Dave to post what he writes about him.  He sent messages both
yesterday and today, and they are below.
HELLO!08 Nov 2003 20:14 GMT2
I just want to (re)introduce myself:
"Hello!   My name is No!  No!  Bad cat!   What's yours?"
LOL!

Dave Gerecke's Dad08 Nov 2003 20:14 GMT4
Dave sent this yesterday evening:
Saw him several times today - he is very very tired but is glad that the
worst is over.
The ETT is gone and so are some of the other tubes. He had a very light
